Need a pin number to sync my Coby CSMP135 bluetooth speaker to my IPod touch. Coby is out of business now.

Try using 1234 for the PIN. This works on most bluetooth devices.

Follow the instructions from the set up guide that came with your Bluetooth wireless speaker on how to pair and connect .the speaker with a Bluetooth-enabled media device such as iPod, iPad or iPhone.

To pair the Plantronics BackBeat 903 with an iPod Touch:

On the 903 headset:
With the headset powered off, press and hold the "Power/Pairing" button until the LED indicator flashes blue and red. This will put the 903 headset into pairing mode.

Use the iPod Touch menu to search for the headset and select 9xxBackBeat.

(If prompted, enter 0000 for the PIN code/passkey. Some devices also require you to accept the connection. Headset is paired when LED flashes blue.)

On the iPod Touch:
In Settings, choose General, Bluetooth, and turn Bluetooth on.

Choose the device on iPod Touch, then enter the PIN/Passkey 0000 (4 zeros).

After pairing the 903 and iPod Touch, the headset model may appear on the screen when you are viewing the audio or video playback controls. (You can "tap" to switch to a different audio output, such as the internal speaker)

Unfortunately, if you cannot recall the Passcode for your son's iPod Touch, then you will have to restore the iPod Touch.

The good thing about a restore however, is if you have previously synced the iPod Touch,when a restore is performed, all the data will be wiped from the iPod, BUT, the most current back up of when you last synced your iPod Touch will restore all the data back to the iPod.

This will be the only way to restore access to the iPod Touch as well as create a new passcode.

power off the bluetooth device and start the search on your ipod then turn the bluetooth device on. This will reset it sometimes.
