How do you get a input on a Akai - Akai LCT3201TD 32 in. LCD Television

Hi Roger, your Akai PDP4290 TV, is a Monitor, does not bring antenna or cable input
To be able to use it as a Channel Television, you must use a Decoder of some Television service and connect it to one of the inputs that your Akai has

The Akai is Samsung brand--have you when using that input that does not work gone into the menu and "selected" it and or highlighted it?

In general, outs to ins.

If nothing else, get the manuals for the preamp and the EQ. You'll probably have to pay for them.

This was the cheapest Akai in its day. No Tuner, No Speakers, must use a surround sound or regular stereo amp for sound.
It also has the standard A/V input also.
Best to use a HD Box and RGB cables for best picture.

To be honest with you. Do not waste your time change the main input board, your problem is solved. Because the main input board coul be defective. I can help you get the input board. Please, my e-mail [email protected]

depending on if the dvd player has functions such as video input , but not likely
if the plasma only has certain video inputs and not the cable input you could use the vcr to get the signal

red and white correspond to audio

Hello drifter,The design of the tv enables the auto search to detect any input signal you have selected. It could be TV (off air, video signals etc) so just switch on whatever inputs to the akai plasma befote you switch the Akai plasma on and let it do the work for you. just relax and watch the tv. recap 1. switch on the input eg video deck, DVD, VCD, or satellite dish. 2. switch on your AKAI PLASMA and 3. wait for the akai to search for your input signals.
