If it's an android device...
1. Enter wrong pattern 5 times and wait for 30 seconds.
2. Select "Forgot pattern" and enter your email account username and password.
3. Make sure you use the same account that was used to activate the device and double check the password by logging in to that email account in a browser.
4. If you don't have access to the original email account, you will need to do a hard reset and loose your settings and apps on the devcice. The data on the memory card will not be wiped though.
Note: if you can't remember your email password, you will have to visit the email service support page to get it reset.

Well, you could try the following first: 1. go to the Lock screen of your tablet. 2.Now give the wrong password for more than 5 times in 30 seconds. 3.Now you will be taken to the screen in which you will find the option of 'Forgot Password' and then go for it. 4.Now you will be shown with the option to provide your Gmail Account details. 5.Give the required details and then you will be taken to screen to set the new password for your tablet. 6.After setting the password you can unlock your tablet using that password. supplied by cohort sai charan **************************
If you remember your gmail you can unlock it like that. all you have to do is try your password for about 5 times until it says you have to wait 30 seconds to try your password again then look down where it says forgot password? press on that and it will take you to a screen that tells you to put in you gmail and if you put it in correctly and pressed sign in it will unlock your phone and you also get to choose what kind of password you want
