How to disassembly lifetime portable basketball hoop

If you just want to take it apart...

Get some liquid wrench and thoroughly spray all the nuts and bolts then let it sit overnight. Depending on how much rust use see, you may consider doing this more than once. Then start with removing the rim and backboard. I always get a a couple of friends and have them stand on either side of the goal in the bed of my pickup truck. This gives them a stable platform...much better than a ladder. Then I use a ladder to loosen the bolts and take off the supports so it can be removed.

If you plan to reassemble you may want to use tape and a marker to number the parts and take some pictures so you have a good reference putting it back together.

We need help in finding out how deep to cement our pole into the ground. We do not have the instructions,as we bought it from someone who had only buried it in the dirt. Thank you! Karen

Karen, for a basketball goal 24 to 30 inches deep will be fine and be sure to use sacrete with rock in it. You can level the pole and pour the sacrete in dry and tamp the dry cement with a shovel handle os something until it firms up and pour water in on top and it will seap down and cement will set up.
