Samsung le32r7 tv picture light levels v low

While watching, light level drops randomly and becomes a little red. Messing with picture settings no effect. Reverts eventually.

Reverts eventually means there is some looseness some where. Please check connectors and cables between power supply- TCON, TCON- Panel and main board-TCON. If you cant do it show it to some qualified technician.

I would suspect a problem in either the backlight assembly, or the power supply that drives it. If it's the power supply, the part may be over $100.

I had this problem too, fortunately I have a sky engineer friend who told me it is a known compatibility issue, all you need to force the latest firmware upgrade down to your sky box and hey presto, it will fix it. It depends on the type of box you have as to how to force the firmware download, but just google it and you'll find the combination of keys to press that will put the sky box into receiving a new firmware upgrade from sky.

Hope it helps you, it did me cos it was driving me crazy

I have a samsung ln55c630k1fxza sqv1 has audio ,but very dim picture what can it be
switch on tv and go into menu, then check levels such as picture, brightness, if this is low change it to higher setting, it can happen if some one sat on the remote and caused setting to change. if this does not work with levels set to highest then there is some other issue with the led screen and needs checking by a technician.

You mean on and off? Is it random or a constant flash, like a watch or clock? I would try to "clean" the dash light level switch by moving many times from bright level to low level. It may clean the contacts thereby. Otherwise, check connections to that adjustment switch. Or, replace the switch.

How to set perfect color on samsung 48" led smart tv
To achieve true life like colors, the primary colors need to be balanced to produce a perfect black and white picture. Turn the color level on the tv to 0 and tint to middle then look at the picture - does it have a reddish or other "coloration" to it? Then set the individual color levels (if your TV has these settings) of red, blue and green to balance out and get a true black and white picture. After that, bring the color level up slowly until the facial levels are natural - not over driven as seen in most store displays. You may need to use tint control slightly.....
One other way - There is a dvd from Disney called "Wow" that aids in getting your set to optimum display.

Night time scenes have become almost impossible to see.
I had the same problem. Figured the 8 yr. old set was on it's last legs. Read everything I could find and nothing helped. But, luckly I did the following and it's like new again! try the following: Press MENU, selectSETUP, select DPO, set it OFF. DPO automatically controls Contrast, BLACK LEVEL (Brightness) and Color. Now press Menu, select PICTURE, then select BLACK LEVEL and run it out to plus 25. your picture should be brighter. Then adust Contrast,Color and Black level to your liking.

it could be as simple as the tv feeding back on itself in a dark room.
it is adjusting the light level because of what it sees ambient in the room.
turn on a light near the tv and see if it stays constant now.
