IF you are not able to contact your carrier to obtain your network lock code then try to unlock-by-code service on the Internet or (better) bring your device to the local unlock service
Nokia Restriction Codes are used to remove restrictions added to a Nokia phone by your original carrier so it will only work with their network. It is also known as an unlock code or an unlock password. You can get the unlock code through online..........i will suggest the website Unlock-Zone.com which is doing good service .....you can approach this website.
First you need your Blackberries IMEI number, which you can find by typing *#06#. THen call up your phone carrier and request an unlock code. They will ask for your phone's IMEI number. Then use these free Blackberry unlock instructions to unlock your phone using the unlock code. Good luck!
Honestly, there is no program or website or anything out there that will generate a "Free" unlock code for any cell phone. However, speaking from personal experience, there is a solution for this depending on how tough your cell phone carrier wants to play. What you can do is simply call your cell phone company and tell them you are going on vacation or out of the country and need to unlock you phone to be able to use pre-paid sim cards to call internationally. This has worked for me when taking a trip to Mexico so I hope it works for you!
Depends who you are with. If you're with Verizon, you have to call Verizon to get it unlocked. Just call Verizon International Technical Support at 800-711-8300. Customer service will give you the 8 digit code, hang up and follow this procedure:
Settings Menu - Options
Selected Advanced Options - SIM Card
Type MEPD on the keyboard
Type MEP, then the ALT button, then 2
A prompt comes up "Enter Network MEP Code". Type in the unlock code, then pressed the track wheel.
Phone is now unlocked.
Sprint has the 8830 only in black and it is already unlocked by the carrier when it ships. Also know you can't use the GSM portion of an 8830 in the US or Canada or Mexico. The reason is because the US/CA and Mexico use
different bands than the radio provides. The US uses 850 and 1900 MHz.
The rest of the world uses 900 and 1800 MHz Bands. Since your phone
only has the latter, it has no capability to work in North America.
Or, you can go here and pay for a code: http://www.gsmliberty.net/shop/blackberry-8830-world-edition-imei-unlock-codes-p-2002.html
resriction codes are best obtained from the original carrier. There are websites that can get you an unlock code but they may cost $$. Be careful if you obtain a code from anyone besides the original carrier. If you enter the wrong unlock code too many times your phone will be permanently locked to the original carrier.
