Problemwith Hotpoint Aquarius FDW60

Hi,

We recently got a new dishwasher and managed to get it plumbed in however when we went to use the machine it not doing anything and the prewash and eco lights keep flashing after about 30 seconds.

We've checked the filer as per the instruction manual but it's all clear.

We also phoned Hotpoint and they said that the waste pipe at the back could be bent but we've checked that too and it's fine.

Just not sure what the problem is and any advice would be greatlyappreciated.

Thanks

Mikey

Hotpoint Aquarius FDW60 Machine stops halfway through its cycle & the "fast" & "delicate" cycle LED's are flashing - what is my problem?

This sounds like the heater is not energising usually means the heater has failedalthough a blocked or sticking pressure switch will cause the same problem

Hotpoint dishwasher

Switch the machine off and unplug at the mains. Leave for ten minutes, then plug in and switch on. My dishwasher control panel had a mind of its own and did what it wanted including leaving water in the bottom of the machine. The electrics sometimes need re-booting! Hotpoint suggested the solution and it worked for me. Saved me £99 call out charge. Good luck.

Problem with hotpoint aquarius fdw60 diswasher

My mother has a neighbour who has a new hotpoint dishwasher which caught fire inside (Plastic on door front melted!).

Please contact Hotpoint - if yours is new, check to see if they can replace immediately otherwise its worth booking the engineer to sort £90 - free parts on machines less than 5 years old.

I think you will find that the heater has packed up.same thing has happened to my 14month old machine.
Waiting for the part to arrive approx £40 looks quite straight forward if you are a bit handy with tools
