I have a JBL MR-17.2 Sirius Ready stereo

I can not get the Sirius ID number from the stereo (JBL MR-17.2 Sirius Ready). Sirius does not have instructions for this model. Can you please give me the instructions as to how to get the Sirius ID number to display on the screen so I can activate Sirius. I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks.

To get your Sirius ID number from you MR-17 JBL stereo, select the Mode button until it displays "Sirius". Then push and hold the Mode button for a couple seconds and it will chirp and display 3 blank spaces. Enter three zeros, "000" in these 3 spaces. The Zero is the loud button labeled "LD". When you do that, it will display your Sirius ID number. :)

If you have a Sirius satelite receiver box, the Sirius ID number will be on it ir the package it came in. The reciever is seperate form the MR-17.2 and is usually a JBL SIR2.5.

I just bought a new radio for my jeep and it says it is SiriusXM ready. Does this mean all I have to do is get a plan?

No this means you can control Sirius radio with your car stereo, but you still require A sirius external device. In other words your looking for simply a Sirius add-on Kit for your stereo, If the kit comes with controller, which most do, then the fact your new car stereo is Sirius Ready, makes the Sirius controller obsolete. I hope this helps.

I have a jbl mr17 radio and i want the clock to stay on

Clocks are usually wired into same circuit as your dome/interior lights, so they have constant power, regardless whether key is on or off.Should be able to find a wire to splice into around your fuse box.

You and I have satan living in our stereo

I agree. Those decks are JUNK how the hell did a great company like JBL ever allow their good name to be on those Korean junk. UNbelievable, and trust me they are not worth repairing.. You can find the exact unit at your local swap meet for $42.00 but with some name like DAWOOP, sorry friend but I too learned that lesson painfully.

JBL MR-17.2 not recognizing Sirius satellite receiver.

I have the exact same issue. I have swapped with two identical MR17.2 radios and swapped out the sirius receiver. No change. I even bought a remote thinking I had to have a remote installed to get it to work...still no diff. Have you ever found a solution?
