"Safe mode" is really a diagnostic mode. "doesn't work" means what? Depending on what the problem is, we may be able to fix it. Please describe exactly what you mean by "doesn't work". Screen blank? Keyboard not responsive?
You can try setting the screen resolution to 640 by 480 while in safe mode, and see if that gets you someplace when you go into normal mode.
Turn off the device. Remove the battery, hold the power button down for 5 to 10 seconds. Reinstall the battery, this should reset the device back to normal. Hope this helps.
This happened to me on HTC Sensation. I was able to get into my apps after a few attempts to reboot seems when volume is all the way down during a reboot it initiates the safe mode. this can happen, im told for many, reasons. Even if your volume controls are working fine.dust etc. although I followed the directions listed above I cleared the htc sense cache then re*stareted and all loaded just fine. I just had too do a little rearanging to my apps on home page . so I am pleased I saved a service call
How do I access the SafeMode menu?
In emergency situations, you can access the SafeMode menu by holding in the Reset button on the back
of the TZ 180 (it’s the small pinhole button located to the left of the Console port) for 12-14 seconds until
the ‘Test’ light begins flashing yellow. When the SonicWALL is booted into the SafeMode menu, assign a
workstation a temporary IP address of 192.168.168.200 and attach it to a LAN interface on the TZ 180
Then, using a modern web browser (Microsoft IE6.x, Mozilla 1.4+), access the special SafeMode GUI
using the device’s default IP address of 192.168.168.168. You will be able to boot the device using a
previously saved image, or you can upload a new version of firmware with the ‘Upload New Firmware’
button.
Are you sure it is in the safe mode.See if it is in safe mode you will see SAFE MODE written on the top and bottom left as well as top and bottom right of your screen. Please let me know. And i guess you must be chatting with someone else right now?Let me know if you got the solution from him.
