Also another couple settings there to consider for multicore processors to work at optimal performance. In addtion: your BIOS EUFI may have a update available and need that in order to work right and or even recognize the newer CPU's you installed

1st thing you'll need to do is go to the motherboard manufacturer's website & download the new BIOS file & the flashing program. These 2 files will have to be copied to a bootable floppy, then you'll have to boot off it & do the update from DOS. The motherboard website should have a detailed explanation on how to perform a flash...print out the instructions & follow them exactly & you should have no problem

I just install 2.0GHz processor but my system keep giving 1801 microcode patch error, what do i do?

The 1801 error is defined as:
Missing or invalid Processor Microcode Patch.

Resolved by:
Applying a new ROM BIOS to support the processor stepping.

In other words, you need a BIOS upgrade. Contact your BIOS vendor and get support for your new processor.

Hello sir, the system zone-2 temp., always keeps flashing in red.

It is a motherboard problem. But you can disable that alarm from the BIOS. I would simply raise the upper threshold in zone two from 56 to 60 if I were you. If it still flashes red put it back to 56 and disable it.

BIOS DISPLAYING INCORRECT CPU SPEED

Hi, I have to agree "...that the motherboard's bios doesn't recognize the processor and that I should upgrade the bios...". Though I think that this is only a display issue and not necessarily true CPU speed. You can check if the correct CPU is displayed inside Windows by right click on My Computer and details would be shown in the System Properties. To upgrade the BIOS: 1. Determine/log your current BIOS and its date by pressing Pause on initial boot when motherboard details are shown; 2. Continue booting by pressing escape and run your Windows normally. Go to the website of your motherboard manufacturer and verify if they have an updated BIOS (compare date of release). If an updated BIOS is available, download. Likewise download the flashing utility. Further instructions are also available on a step by step procedure. Some newer mb versions/models have a Window based update feature. Check if you have such. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things are or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
