The custom wood panel of my bosch SHV6803UC dishwasher is starting to pull away from the door every time I open the dishwasher. I took the door off and it appears the installer used some type of adhesive to attach the upper part of the door and over time this became loose. I've tried putting JB Weld, Rubber Silicone, etc but everything loosens up again over time. Any ideas to permanently fix?

First you will need to remove all old adhesives. Fingernail polish remover will remove a lot, but silicone requires scraping, and cleaning with a nail file or such. Then use contact cement. Check the label to find one that is heat and moisture proof.

SOURCE: dishwasher leaking around the bottom of the door

I had the same problem in 2004, lots of Bosch trained repair techs, calls to Bosch, and the appliance dealer we purchased it from with no answers. Our kitchen cabinet bases were ruined by the flooding that occured. After months of trying to get help I insisted on speaking to a supervisor that told me it was my fault for putting a flexible cutting board on the right side a blocking the vent. I told her that no where in the manual did it mention this issue and none of their trained techs were aware of this flaw in their design. When I asked about getting my cabinets repaired she said that was not an option. When I mentioned possible legal action her response was "good luck with that". Here it is 2009 and they recently called about a possible fire hazard recall for the control panel. The Bosch trained tech that came out to complete the repair knew nothing about the vent/flooding issue.

SOURCE: loose door handle on bosch integra ltd. dishwasher

you can loosen the inside of the door with a small torx screwdriver and lift it up far enough to get to the screw that holds the handle from the inside. I did this with mine about 1 year ago.

SOURCE: My Bosch SHV46C dishwasher keeps running, even

I have a Bosch that was stuck in pump down mode even when the door was open.
The problem ended up being too much water in the drip pan below the unit. There is a float in the drip pan that actuates the same limit switch as the internal overfilled float.
I had recently cleaned the incoming water filter and must have loosened the water line tube.

Machine started with door not shut

to release the door lock you have to pull the outer door and inner door away from each other at the top. if you have a wood panel, pull the handle of the wood panel away from the stainless steel inner door panel. you will notice the outer door panel will move out about a quarter inch. you will then hear the latch pop open. once you do that, close the door and select your cycle as usual.

How do you mount a wood door on this dishwasher?? Archie

Bosch offers a kit for installing a wood panel in place of the normal outer door panel. Based on the limited amount of clearance between the bottom of the outer door panel and the toe panel, I would suggest using the kit offered from Bosch. You will also need the last 2 digits of the model # to get the correct kit. After the UC, there is a /, followed by a 2 digit number. This is also needed.

On a further note, you may also need stronger springs as a wood panel is much heavier than the normal outer panel. You do not want the door just falling open, it is a good way to bend the door hinges.

WATER DOESNT DRAIN

I had the same problem. I took out the filter and cleaned it, scooped out as much water as I could and poured some sink unblocker into the bottom of the washer, followed by some hot water. After leaving it a while I took the plastic mesh cover off, and removed and cleaned all the bits I could (will be different on different washers). Then I put it all back together and ran a quick wash, and it worked. I did a couple more washes with it empty in case there was any cleaner still lurking. Result - one unblocked (and sparkly clean!) dishwasher. Hope this helps!

Need stronger Door Springs, to able wood door panel

The best suggestion I could give you is contact either Sears or Bosch and ask for recommendations. You will require the proper springs designed for dishwashers.

Door Problem

There are set springs for the adjustment of the doors on the Bosch dishwashers. they are colour coded for different applications. They are accessed by laying the machine on its back and pulling the springs out of the base. first you will need to check that the nylon lines which attach the springs to the lower part of the door mechanisms are in place and this can also be done while the machine is on its back. or by first removing the side panels to access the door hinge mechanisms. If you have a custom cabinet panel on your machine it may be too heavy for the springs and new springs will have to be installed.
