talk with an electrician but I think that if you have 3 phase motors on 480 volts you will need an inverter that will handle 480 volts
as it stands now you only have 230 volts for 3 phase and that means that there is insufficient power to run the motors
however in cases such as this , a long talk with an electrician could save lots of money
Hi robles212 To convert your T-30 to single phase you will have to do one of two things. 1. Change the motor to a single phase motor 2. Buy and install a "Phase Converter" to convert 3 phase to single phase Please rate me Bud
A 3phase motor cannot be rewired to run on single phase power. You need a phase converter. A 3-phase motor will only run on 3-phase power, and a phase converter will convert single phase power to 3 phase. Just google phase converter. There are two basic types, electronic and rotary. The rotary type are more powerful and efficient, but lot's more expensive than the electronic ones. Your only other option is to replace the motor with a single phase motor.
Good luck.
When you google home made 3 phase converters, you will find many ways to make use of 220v single phase instead, however you are limited as to the hp that the motor will produce. If you spin the motor first then apply 220v, the motor will continue to turn at much reduced hp. You need full power to turn a type 30 pump depending on pulley combination/ setup. Best to return the unit and get one that will run on 220v single phase. It will most likely consume more power to do the same work however it would cost a great deal to install 3 phase. Most likely not even available at all. Many years ago, I worked at Sears and happened to see an electrician coming down from roof access of building. He told me that sears had a 3 phase generator being turned by a 220v single phase motor to run an air conditioning unit. He said that it worked quite well. Does not sound cost effective.
Don't knw what your problem is but here is a page that gives you the information, normally 3 phase on single phase motor but if you can change the winding settings you might here is the page hope it helps. http://www.pentairpool.com/pdfs/CSeriesCommercialBronzePumpOM.pdf
no you cannot. The cost to replace the dasher motor and compressor would be extreme. In addition, you would need to convert the controls from 3 phase controls over to single phase controls.
Those machines are designed for 3 phase power. If you could get the same components in a single phase version, you would spend more money economically than its worth.
Take the money you would spend converting and purchase a single phase countertop unit. They are made.
It will not be inexpensive to convert your dishmachine over to three phase. With everything that you will need to replace, depending on the model if converyor or not it may run close to what it costs to have 3phase run to the building that you plan to move into.
