Hi! Welcome to Fixya!
If you are unable to view video on your television set, the issue may
be that the TV's video input selection does not match.
The TV input source
must match how the equipment for example DVD is connected to the TV. Every TV is different in the way that
the ports are configured on the back of the TV and the menus are
presented on the TV screen; however, there are some basic similarities
between them.
To correct the issue, use the TV's remote control
and change the video input selection. Many newer TVs have an
auto-detection system and will automatically detect that something is
connected to the various ports on the back of the television. However,
some TVs have to be configured manually.
Some common names of the button on the TV remote are:
- Video Source
- Video Input
- TV/VID
Locate the video input menu for their specific TV. Below is an example of the video input menu of a TV.
This example indicates check boxes next to the items that the TV is detecting. Be advised that this menu
must match the location on the back of TV where video components are connected.
You may also check if all cables are properly connected.
Thank you.
Keep me posted. :)
