You are probably going to need to go to the dealer to get the computers re-initialized. When batteries are replaced in this vehicle, there needs to be a continuous supply of power to the car's computers or what you experienced will happen. Auto parts stores sell a simple device that uses a 9V battery to power they computers through the 12V power port (cig lighter). That 9V is sufficient to keep all the systems running and synchronized properly for the duration it takes to replace the main battery.

2003 Cadillac deville trunk randomly opens on its own when sitting and not running occasionally what could be the cause.

Do you know anything about automotive electrical testing ? how to read a wiring diagram ? How to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? You can find a free wiring diagram here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html

The trunk release is controlled by an electronic control moduel .
Trunk Release Relay
Output Controls
The rear integration module grounds the trunk relay when commanded ON. The rear compartment should release.

This vehicle has a very complex body control system of three different computers

The body control system consists of the following 3 modules:
ā€¢ The Dash Integration Module (DIM)
ā€¢ The Instrument Panel Module (IPM)
ā€¢ The Rear Integration Module (RIM)
Each of the 3 body control modules integrate a number of functional systems under the control of a single module. Each module is connected to the Class 2 serial data circuit, many of the control functions are implemented by Class 2 messages.

. Rear Integration Module (RIM)
The various RIM inputs and outputs are described in the corresponding functional areas as indicated on the RIM electrical schematics.
The RIM functions include the following:
ā€¢ Automatic level control
ā€¢ CIGAR relay control
ā€¢ Class 2 communication requiring RIM interaction
ā€¢ Content theft deterrent
ā€¢ Fuel door control
ā€¢ Fuel level sensor input
ā€¢ Heated seat control
ā€¢ HVAC blower control
ā€¢ LK/CYL relay control
ā€¢ Park brake relay control
ā€¢ Rear defog relay control
ā€¢ Rear park assist chime control
ā€¢ Retained accessory power (RAP) relay control
ā€¢ Reverse relay control
ā€¢ Transmission shift inhibit
ā€¢ Trunk release relay control
ā€¢ Various controls for the interior lamps

Luggage Compartment Description and Operation (General)
Rear Compartment Lid (trunk) release actuation is controlled by the following components.
ā€¢ Rear Compartment Lid Release Relay
ā€¢ Instrument Panel Module (IPM)
ā€¢ Rear Integration Module (RIM)
ā€¢ Valet Switch
ā€¢ Rear Compartment Lid Release Switch
ā€¢ Rear Compartment Lid Release Actuator
Battery voltage for the coil side of the trunk release relay is supplied through the Valet switch (with the valet switch in the OFF position) by the ALDL fuse located in the Underhood Fuse (Bussed) Block. Battery voltage for the switch side of the trunk release relay is supplied by the Body fuse located in the Rear Fuse (Bussed) Block. When the rear compartment lid release switch is momentarily pressed, it provides a ground circuit for the trunk release signal of the Instrument Panel Module (IPM). When the IPM senses that the switch has been activated, it sends a Serial Data Class 2 message to the Rear Integration Module (RIM). The RIM then provides a path to ground on the F/TNK DR REL relay control circuit. The trunk release relay is then energized, and battery voltage is applied through the switch side contacts of the trunk release relay to the rear compartment lid release actuator. The actuator is connected to ground through a ground splice pack located at the left rear corner of the rear compartment, near the left tail lamp connector.

I took the battery out and left my key inside of my 99 Mercedes c280 trunk,

Try using a battery jump box with a cigarette lighter adapter, plug it in to the cig. lighter, you might be able to get power to some of the fuse box to use door lock switches or trunk release button .

1994 Lexus ls400 replaced powersteering pump and won't shift out of park, no instrument lights no power windows, no power door locks, no power trunk release

Sounds like a major fuse blown.
Any wiring disconnected or stripped near the pump ?
Have you checked the major fuses around the battery and underhood fuse box ?

Trunk release button on 2001 ford focus will not work

So your trunk release button on the dash dpesn't seem to open the trunk.
Does your key fob button open the trunk? yes....then could be problem with switch but read on.
no......are your power door locks not working as well. not working.....check
fuse, on 2001 Focus the fuse is a 20amp number 63 on the back of the fuse panel under the dash. Pop cover off and undue the rwo screws. hold plastic retainers and pull off the fuse panel from metal frame. pull fuse panel down toand turn over so you can see the fuse.check fuse. blown? yes.......replace fuse with good one. test all door locks open/close then check fuse...if its blown the problem is something to do with the door lock circuits. if the fuse is still ok...try pushing the trunk open button. fuse still ok? then I am a loss toas to whats the problem but if the fiuse blew when trying the trunk button your problem is the trunk latch circuit.
Now if the trunk latch button is popping the fuse then disconnect wiring to
trunk latch (in trunk) and try the button again. Still blowing the it is the electrical before the trunk latch unit. If it did now blow the problem is something to do with the part of the circuit you disconnected.
How to go farther and find the problem exactly is not covered in this answer. You have to take it from here. JAG

2001 Mercedes 430 Doors won't lock-trunk won't unlock--OBDII reads 888 Sounds like fuse. Can you help?

Hi, if all of the locks on your Mercedes fail to open (or close) first check your key fob to make certain that its battery is working. Replace the worn out battery, if necessary. If key fob is working, you may have a faulty key fob, which can be repaired or replaced by taking it to your dealer.
If just one lock won't open on your Mercedes, then the problem may rest with broken wiring, a bad solenoid, or perhaps with a blown fuse. Check your fuse box first to determine if a blown fuse is keeping the lock from working. If so, replace the fuse.
You likely have a shorted door lock actuator, which you can replace with a new unit for the lock that is not working. If a door unlocks, but will not lock again, then replace the door switch.

Besides there is not OBD II 888 code, i have never heard or seen it before...

My power door locks stopped working. When I press

The locks don't work from any switch or just the driver's door switch ? The door locks are controlled by the BCM - body control module , that's were the clicking you hear is coming from there are no fuse's that are marked for the locks , fuse's for the BCM .

Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
ā€¢ Driver door lock switch -- Uses a single signal wire for both lock and unlock switch activations
ā€¢ Front passenger door lock switch -- Uses a single signal wire for both lock and unlock switch activations
ā€¢ BCM -- Class 2 module which requires programming when replaced
ā€¢ Reversible door lock actuators in each of the doors
ā€¢ BCM PWR 15A fuse -- Located in the BCM fuse panel, supplies power for the door lock system

The BCM PWR fuse supplies battery positive voltage to the BCM for the door lock system.
The BCM supplies and monitors a reference voltage to the door lock switch through the door lock switch lock/unlock signal circuit. The door lock switch also receives a constant ground source. If a door lock switch is placed in the lock position, the reference voltage is taken directly to ground and the BCM senses 0.0 volts on the signal circuit. If a door lock switch is placed in the unlock position, the reference voltage is taken to ground through a 15k ohm resister that is internal to the door lock switches and senses approximately 2.9 volts on the signal circuit. This is how the BCM determines what portion of the door lock switch was activated.
The BCM, upon receipt of a door lock switch lock or unlock signal, will switch the appropriate door lock actuator control circuits to battery positive voltage. The opposing side of the door lock actuators are connected to ground internally within the BCM through the other door lock actuator control circuit and the doors will lock or unlock appropriately.
Vehicles without keyless entry have two internal drivers in the BCM to control the door lock actuators. All door lock and all door unlock. Vehicles equipped with keyless entry have three internal drivers in the BCM. Driver door unlock, passenger door unlock and all door lock. This is done to isolate the driver door lock actuator so it can be unlocked by itself using the keyless entry transmitter.

Body Control Module (BCM)
Lower center of the I/P, just below the HVAC control assembly

Boot not opening with remote or indoor lever third brake light not working told by merc could have broken wire but i want to try fue first but cannot find which fuse no diagram eclass 220 cdi 06

okay the dealer may be right, the wiring sometimes breaks from opening and closing trunk, the trunk release operates on the same power as door locks, if door locks work its not a fuse, check the wiring harness in the trunk near hinge, this system is a complex one,so if you dont see a broken wire in the harness,(you will have to untape the wiring to see every wire) have a tech check the system.
