I have a HTC S710 it is locked to BT and i cannot seem to find anyone who can garentee they can unlock it. they can do most other networks but is BT different to the rest? any help appricated claire

Its automatic unless you have disabled it
You will need to get the settings from your service provider (people who supply your sim) and enter the settings or enable it in the connection settings screen on the phone
(start->Phone -> Settings ->connections->gprs if the phone menus are still at there default)

A handy altrnative which wont sync but lets you access the phone as a hard drive (most useful if at a mates house for example) is wm5storage which you install on the phone but you will need active sync or a card reader to install can be found here or here

To release the lock, press the left menu button, then hash (#)
