The dishwasher looks like it ran through a cycle, but will not drain, not even when push the "drain/cancel" button. No previous problems. We just don't know where to start or check!
Depending on the age of this unit it may have food blocking what is called the "check valve".
on most models it is mounted right on the outlet of the pump housing. one model uses a 4 inch plastic tube style device and is about 1/2 inch on the pump and 1" on the hose. inside of it is where the food items can block the check valve. remove the hose and unscrew the check valve from the pump and see if something is blocking it.
on newer units the check valve is built into the drain hose, if you hose has a 90 degree elbow molded into it where the hose hooks up to the drain pump. once again take the hose off and look inside the hose or try to blow through the hose and see if the hose is clear.
good luck tom
Since water doesn't drain out ,it could be a clogged in the drain line. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. You should remove this line and clear it form any debris in the hose or the hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. Let me know if you will need for further assistance. Good luck!
I had the diswasher model:110. almost 2 year old but drain. Any of you folks think that could be the pump or the main PCB controlled the pump may be cause problem?

I have checked the hose where it enters the drain and appears to be clear so any other ideas as to why the water won't clear ???
i put a new disposal in and now the dishwasher will not drain. all i did was disconnect the old hose and then connect the hose to the new disposal.
