I just downloaded a new CD to my Nextar MP3 player the CD shows on the player however every time I try to play it I get format error and nothing play's not sure what happen it was working fine now its not can anyone help me

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.

hi what you need to do is check what format the music is you trying to put on their then you need to convert it to mp3.
Most often its wma so you need to convert these files to mp3 your best option is using google and type in convert music from wma to mp3
this will then list loads of sites that will convert the music for you for free then transfer these to your mp3 player then you should find they will all work

you really need to make sure your videos are in the right format .
Just get this tool to help you.
1. load your file to Video Sharer
2. choose AVI format
3. click" convert" button.
Then you will get the right format.

the mp3 files have to be recorded in the ISO9660 level 1 or level 2 format, or the Joliet or Romeo in the expansion format.
Please note this is verbatim, straight from my Sony manual.

The songs you are trying to load to the Mp3 player are not compatible with the Nextar - a good test for this would be to connect your Nextar to the PC, open Windows Media Player, and click the Library tab, then the Sync tab - if a little blue "i" appears next to the song, it will not work with your Nextar. In fact, any song that is not in mp3 format or unprotected WMA (very few WMA's are unprotected unless you Ripped them directly from CD) will not play in the Nextar.

convert these wav files in format mp3 with the help of tvc converter/other mp3 converter then install these mp3 files on your player and enjoy

you need to put the cd in and then you need to wait for some type of loading process and when its done loading you go to the start button on the main menu and then go to the box that says my computer and the picture or the name of the disk will be there and click on it then it will load then it will begin to play or do whatever it does
