Have a JVC 52 , only a few months old. ... That looks like my CRT RPTV if I mess with the convergence. ..... I hope your repair isn't that drastic, but you won't know until after the service tech gets there. .... Started out with a double image, then mirror image, then finally the blue and red went out totally leaving ...

try another TV,if it is the same situation,the problem is with cables or GPU,if not ,your TV is maybe not compatible,than try with smaller resolution

My picture screen has double images red,blue,green. The screen looks 3D

convergence problem expect to pay around $300

Need to have the convergence board repaired it will require 2 ICs and various resistors, expect to pay around $300 Julio [email protected]

yes you just need two ICs

If your model number is the PTH5498 you will need to replace both convergence ICs they are stk 392-040 you can get replacements at the followig link and they will provide fre instalation instructions with pictures. Here is the link.

Unplug the TV from the ac wall outlet for about 4 minutes then plug it back in and turn it on. If it still has a double image then tell me if it's affecting the menu screen from the TV (not the cable menu). And is the double image in red and blue?

convergence ic are going or have loose connection in the convergence amp ic area.
