With one CO line you can only make or receive one external call at a time. You can have extensions connected on intercom calls, but once your CO line is in use, anyone calling in will get a busy signal, as will anyone in the office trying to make an outside call. You'll need additional CO lines if you want to have several outside calls going on at once.

Panasonic KX-T7730, we have a 824 phone system and cordless handsets (kx-tg1711) we cannot make outgoing calls on these handests but can take incoming calls and can transfer calls. how do we programme

  • Locate the program and auto-store button on your telephone. You will be using these to customize many of the features on your KX-T7730. The program button is used to enter or exit programming.

  • 2

Program your outgoing line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to seize when you go off hook. Press "Program" "1" "1" "store" for no line. Press "Program" "1" "2" "Store" for an idle outside line. Press "Program" "1" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line. The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 3

Program your incoming line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to answer when you go off hook. Press "Program" "2" "1 "Store" for no line. Press "Program "2" "2" "Store" for ringing line. Press "Program" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line.

  • 4

Program your flexible CO buttons. These are the inner row of 12 lighted buttons. Your outside lines need to be programmed to these--you can choose any of these 12 buttons in any order. Press "Program" "CO Button" "0" "Outside Line Number" "Store." The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 5

Program any other unused flexible CO buttons for an extension number or any frequently dialed phone number. Press "Program" "CO button" "1" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "CO Button" "2" "9 + Phone Number" "Store". A "9" must be entered at the beginning of a phone number to tell your phone system to seize an outside line before dialing, e.g., "9-1-212-555-1234."

  • 6

Locate the programmable feature buttons (the row of 12 solid buttons on the right). These buttons are basically one-touch buttons that can be set for extension numbers or phone numbers. Press "Program" "(PF) Button" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "(PF) Button" "9 + Phone Number" "Store." Remember to press "Program" again to exit programming.

  • 7

Locate your "FWD/DND" button. This button is used for setting "Call Forward" or "Do Not Disturb" on your telephone. To set call forwarding, go "off-hook" either by lifting the receiver or pressing speakerphone. Make sure you go to intercom and not an outside line. To forward all calls, go off-hook, press "FWD/DND" "1" "extension number" (the extension number that you wish to forward all your calls to) "#". After you hear a confirmation tone, place the receiver on-hook. The steps to set call forwarding for busy/no answer are the same as above, except you will press "2" in place of "1". To cancel call forwarding, press "0" in place of "1".

  • 8

Program "Do Not Disturb," which stops your phone from ringing--any callers will just hear a DND tone. To program, go off-hook, press "Program" "4" "#" on-hook, to set. Press "0" instead of "4" to cancel.

  • 9

Locate the message button--this works in coordination with your message light at the top right of your telephone. If the light is lit, press "message" to hear a message left to you either by another extension or a voice mail system. The message button can only be programmed as a message or one-touch button. To program as a message, press "Program" "Message" "3" "Store." To program as a one-touch, press "Program" "Message" "1" "Extension Number" or "Program" "Message: "2" "9 + phone number."

  • 10

Return your KX-T7730 to its default settings by pressing "Program" "#" "*" "Store."

This is for the kx-ta824. I am trying to add 82470 extension card to get 32 extensions.

That would be a trick. 824 means 8 lines and 24 extensions. An 82470 fits in one of the 2 remaining slots of the 824 system and it has no lines and 8 extensions. For the price, it's a pretty worthless card, as it will have no resale value. I think the price difference between an 82470 and an 82483 (3x8) is about $100 and maybe $50 more than an 82481 (2x8).

The Panasonic KX TA824 system phone How can I make that when somebody is on the corldess phone that is connected to the system Lets say extension 105 when a call comes in to extension 105 I should not get...

On an 824 you only have one option, call forward busy/no answer. It means all calls transferred to that extension would go somewhere. Since an 824 has no ring groups, you can't make the system do a double hop (CF busy to 101 and if 101 is busy CF to something else) but at least it's something.

From the cordless, dial 712 1xx # with xx being the extension of the forwarded number. (710# cancels).

I have attached this cordless to KX-TA824 supporting 2 incoming lines. How can I select which line (CO 1 or CO 2) to call from?

If you start with intercom dial tone, press 81 or 82. If you dial 9 you'll get line 2 before line 1 in normal programming, and if you dial a line that's busy with 8x access codes, you'll get a busy, even if the other line is free.

Of course, you could also RTFM and program the system to function with your TA-824 http://public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/UG_TA_0823%5B1%5D.pdf
Starting on page 15 or so of the pdf, after you set up the keys, you'd press the > and 1 or 2 to get to lines 1 or 2 :-)

HI Expert Supporting, I have some problem

I just now realized that your TDA-100 is not correctly wired or set-up. You'll need to call the installation company that put it in. What you want: Is to have CO lines 3 and 4 to be accessed by extensions; 101, 102, 103... and CO line 2 to be accessed by extensions: 104, 105, 106, 107. CO line 1 needs to be dedicated to a particular extension; More than likely in your office. And then you would not have to dial 9..just pick-up and dial the number. Please stay in contact until we resolve this nasty trouble.

Toll restriction override by account code.

It's not thatt simple. Look at 1.3.90 in the OM. You need to set a password and an extension COS on a secure set. For example, if you have a spare extension like 114, reclass it to COS 1, give it a password, then you can dial 7*xxxx114# press any line and dial the world.

The SMDR of the Walking COS user will show where it was made from. Needless to say, if the code is compromised, you have no security and no toll restriction, so be prepared to change the extension security code often.

The other variation is that you just change the class of service on those users authorized to make 00 calls so they can do it from their phone and let them use walking COS on a restricted phone.
