Assuming that that you have no errors preventing the cartridge change, press the "setup" button, use the arrow buttons to select "maintenance" and press the "OK" button. The carriage will now move to the replacement position. If you have an error condition and you need to access the ink carriage then swith on the printer and when the carriage begins to move across to the left simply pull out the power cable. The carriage can now be carefully pushed into position. Ensure that the carriage is pushed back to the right before turing power back on.

Hope this helps, please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

Replacing cartdiges in sx 200 epaon

Press the ink button on the control panel repeatedly. This will work if at least one cartridge is completely out. With the scanner unit open, then the first press of the ink button will move the cartridge carrier to line up the empty cartridge with an "empty cartridge" mark on the printer. Each subsequent press will cause the next empty cartridge to line up with the mark. Once all of the empty cartridges have been indicated, the next press of the ink button will bring the cartridges into the replacement position.

If you want to change a cartridge when none are empty, you need to enter the Epson Toolbox (with the printer in a Ready state - scanner unit closed, etc). Then use the software to set the printer to change the ink cartridges. When prompted by the software, open the scanner unit and follow the directions for changing the ink cartridges.

If the cartridge carrier isn't moving when you press the ink button, look for anything blocking the path of the carrier. Even small pieces of paper could stop the mechanism. Use a flashlight to check the corners. (You may want to unplug the printer and try moving the cartridge carrier by hand to check below it.) Some models have the cartridge carrier run on a plastic strip that can come out of the guide on the back. Move the strip back and up and down until it is repositioned.

I hope this helps.

How to I change ink on epson printer NX127 I cannot get the cartage out Can you show me the picture of the cartage ink holder with the lid up

First make sure the printer is on, then open the printer cover and the cartridge cover. Then press the Stop button. Assuming the printer has identified a cartridge with low ink, that cartridge will be moved to the replacement position; then the power light will flash. Squeeze the tabs on the ends of the cartridge together and lift it up. Unpack the new cartridge and remove the tape carefully. Then press the new cartridge into place until it clicks.

If more than one cartridge has low ink, the leftmost one will be in the replacement position when the cartridge carrier stops moving. Press Stop again to advance the carrier to put the next low cartridge into the replacement position. Then press Stop again to have the printer move the cartridges to the home position and charge the print head. When the lights go out or stop flashing, close the cartridge cover and the printer cover.

If the cartridges aren't low on ink, then use the Epson printer utility (under the Maintenance tab) to start the process.

How do I replace ink cartridge?

you can use the maintenance utility on your driver to perform ink cartridge replacement. or you can perform this method should you be using it stand alone:

Remove and Install Cartridges Be sure you have your replacement cartridges handy before you begin. You must install new cartridges immediately after removing the old ones. Caution:
Do not open ink cartridge packages until you are ready to install the ink. Cartridges are vacuum packed to maintain reliability.

1. Turn on the Epson Stylus NX400 Series. If a cartridge is low or expended, you see a message on the Epson Stylus NX400 Series LCD display screen. If a cartridge is expended, you must replace it to be able to print. If a cartridge is low, you can continue printing until the cartridge needs replacement.
If you’re replacing a cartridge before you see a message on the Epson Stylus NX400 Series
LCD display screen, press Setup, select Maintenance, and press OK. Then select Change Ink Cartridge and press OK.
follow on through each one of the inks and it should be good there on

White lines on printed photos Epson Stylus NX400

You need to clean the print head on the cartridges , please follow these steps\
# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.
