Use paperclip to push in pin size hole below keyboard and then slide panel to right. Battery box is right there. Replace batteries and then was already to accept code.

How do I insert the batteries on my advanced electronic lock safe? On the newer model Fireproof Sentry Safes my locksmith recommended me To install batteries,
turn the electronic lock case to the right and remove. Insert four new batteries as indicated, replace the electronic lock case and turn to the left to reassemble.

Our safe had a philips screw at the bottom of the keypad (facing downward), not a paperclip hole as some do. To replace batteries, unscrew this setscrew and twist the face gently. Replace the 4AAs and reinstall faceplate/fingerpad. Should work.

I have dead batteries too, and my safe won\'t open. On top of that, one of the wires is dangling. So when I touch the dangling wire to the battery pack (fresh Batteries), it says low batteries and put the key and turn the knob. STILL WON"T OPEN!! So sad, need help. Never thought this would happen, wonder if anyone can help?

Sentry Supreme 5330 safe will not open

If your Sentry Supreme 5330 safe is not opening, there could be a few possible reasons why:
  1. Combination Error: If you are using a combination to open the safe, make sure that you are entering the correct combination. If you have forgotten the combination, you will need to contact Sentry Safe customer service to get assistance on how to recover or reset your combination.
  2. Dead Batteries: If you have an electronic lock on your safe, the batteries may be dead. Replace the batteries and try again.
  3. Jammed Bolts: The locking bolts may be jammed due to incorrect operation or a mechanical problem. Try tapping the safe door gently with a rubber mallet to loosen the bolts and then try to open it.
  4. Mechanical Malfunction: If the safe still does not open, there may be a mechanical malfunction. In this case, you will need to contact a professional safe technician to diagnose and repair the problem.
Note: If you have lost your key, you will need to contact Sentry Safe customer service to order a replacement key.

We have a Sentry safe S3877, I believe the battery is dead and we can't open the safe. So how do we get to open and replace the batteries?

You need to look on you tube for this. There are lots of videos on opening that safe with a rubber mallet.

How do I open a sentry s3877 safe when the battery is dead and safe is closed

The factory code combination to your electronic lock will remain in the memory of the unit - even if the batteries go dead. Any use programmed codes will be lost if the batteries lose power. The Sentry programmed factory code is always your default code.

If you do not know your factory code, you can follow this link for your combination retrieval:

My combination to s3877 works, but key button is pressed by accident and I can't find the keys to unpop it. How do I get it open. Light turns green after inputting the code, but level is unmovable.

You will need to contact customer service (either in the UK or US) for the replacement keys - without the keys you can't get into the safe. The key barrel is a secondary lock and needs to be unlocked before you can use the digital or dial combination.

Sentry s3877 battery compartment broke

I had the same problem with my Sentry S3877. I found the exact 4-battery replacement (with snap attachment on top!) at an online electronics.retailer, but had to purchase a lot of three. I don't need the other two, so I'll sell them for just $6 each to the first two folks to contact me [email protected].

Oh, by the way, once the batteries went dead, you lost your combination! When you pop the new battery compartment in, the factory default combination will be in effect. That default combination is in your user's manual. I'm currently searching frantically for mine! Gee, how could I have misplaced it ... I just had it in my hands when I purchased the safe 10 years ago !!!

Anyone know the default combo for the S3877?
