73" rear projection Mitsubishi TV

TV won't turn on. Green light on front flashes continuously but never turns on. Have tried leaving it off overnight, but it won't reset.

Tried holding the menu button to reset, but didn't work. What happened was there was a wicked lightning storm, so we unplugged the TV but the cablebox was still connected. After storm was over, replugged TV and wouldn't come on. Just the flashing green light, however, sound and cable is working fine. Sub's fine, cable box, speakers, everything is fine except no picture or sound from TV itself. Looked into a repairman but can't come for a week or so. Do you think the relay switch might need to be replaced? The TV is 4 or 5 years old. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Let me know as I can look for this---the set has a keyboard lockout that is cleared by holding the menu or another front button for more than 5-10 seconds with set on---I can find the service manual and check if needed.

Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.

If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.

The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.

My mitsubishi tv W55613 won't turn on. green light keeps blinking even after resetting

Hit the front of the tv near the blinking light... give it a good rap or two. See if this helps. Helped mine. I had the same problem and the tech who came out to the house told me that it would work and it did! I could hardly believe it but it worked.

Hi,
If the led light flashes green continuously, the fault came from the DM power supply. The faulty parts there are the electrolytic capacitors. Let me know if your handy with electronics and I will assist you to fix it yourself.

WS-55517 Mitsubishi Rear HDTV projection tv will not turn on

2 blinks followed by 1 blink is the X-Ray protection-----means some problem in the High voltage circuit ---set produces over 25 thousand volts to fire the 3 picture tubes inside up----It could be excessive high voltage-------I think you would have to get lucky for someone to find and fix it in your home----more likely it will need a visit to a Repair shop.

Flashing Green Light on Front of 73" Projection TV

on the signal board replace the caps by the 5/9 volt regulators. c2p04 is the main culprit. 6 caps in total can be changed. I believe c2p05 also.
