No, you do not need an upgrade. You'll need to be download only "Windows Mobile Device Center" to your Vista PC instead of ActiveSync. (ActiveSync is not compatible with Vista, instead Microsoft changed the software a bit called "Windows Mobile Device Center" and can be downloaded from Microsoft's website.) Your Vista PC should also recognize your ipaq PPC without needing any driver CD. I hope it helps.
i face problem on charging my HP Pocket PC 6315. when i connect my ppc to charger, after preesing power button only the frist page appear and not running ahead (welcome to T Mobile. nothing more shown here on my ppc screen.
Set it up with what? Do you mean sync with your computer? Are you using USB or Bluetooth?
Best thing to do.
1. Unplug your USB connection from PPC -> Computer 2. Uninstall Activesync if you have it installed 3. Restart your computer 4. Re-install activesync 5. Restart your PPC 6. When asked to connect the PPC connect it via USB
I have the same problem, after I did the hard reset and installed no programs, this power problem disappeared. But once i installed any programs, PDA battery life became no longer than 2 days, which is strange.
It's a problem with either the memory board or the button board. With my h5550, the bottom buttons started to stop working and eventualy the PPC stoped charging all together. You can find parts for it online. If all the buttons are working fine, then it's most likely the motherboard. Otherwise it should be the button board.
I have been working on Camera cell phones and see these kinds of issues. I am afraid that your camera interface was bad and the phone main board is not recognize the connected camera. I don;t think this is a software isue when it error message said connect the camera or reset pc.. If you are not think my suggestion is correct, you may try the other way by flashing the ROM as updating the new ROM version, it may also hlep to solve this issue and if it is still not, then I am sure th efaulty is from your camera. This is an comment issue in most camera phones I have been fixed before. I hope it help.
the ipaq automatically adjusts for daylight savings but the PC does not.
On your PC double click on clock, click on Time Zone tab and then on that screen you will see the box that needs to be checked.
also check that both PC and IPAQ are set to same time-zones.
