There is a reset for a BIOS password and it is a hidden jumper process, you did not post the exact model.

Sorry, there isn't a way to get past the password other than to contact Lenovo. Resetting the CMOS will do nothing. They will ask for proof of ownership before they do anything. I believe they have a "backdoor" password.

This information is intended for experienced users. It is not intended for basic users, hackers, or computer thieves. Please do not try any of following procedures if you are not familiar with computer hardware. I'll not be responsible for the use or misuse of this information, including personal injury, loss of data or hardware damage. So use it at your own risk.

A. By Using the Motherboard Jumper:

In most motherboards CMOS battery is soldered, which makes it difficult to remove the battery. In this case we use another method.

Almost all motherboards contain a jumper that can clear all CMOS settings along with the BIOS password. The location of this jumper varies depending upon the motherboard brand. You should read your motherboard manual to check its location. If you don't have the manual then look for the jumpers near the CMOS battery. Most of the manufacturer label the jumper as CLR, CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, etc.

When you find the jumper, look carefully. There will be 3 pins and the jumper will be joining the center pin to either left or right pin. What you need to do, is remove the jumper and join the center pin to the opposite pin. e.g. if the jumper joins center pin to left pin, then remove it and join center pin to right pin. Now wait for a few seconds and then again remove the jumper and join the center pin to left pin.

Make sure to turn the PC off before opening the cabinet and resetting the jumper.

B. By Using Software:

I have found that BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is a program that works instantly to remove any lost or forgotten BIOS/CMOS password. Simply boot your PC to DOS and execute the program, and get access to forgotten BIOS/CMOS passwords in just seconds

Follow these steps: Restart your computer in MS- DOS mode. When you get to the C:\> or C:\WINDOWS> prompt, type DEBUG and press Enter.A hyphen (-) prompt will appear waiting for you to enter commands. Enter the following commands, pressing Enter after each one. Note: the o is the letter o and stands for OUTPUT. o 70 2 e o 71 ff q After the q command (which stands for QUIT) , enter Exit. Then try to enter your BIOS at bootup. The password prompt should now be gone and you should now have full access to it again. However, you will now be at the default BIOS setttings and may want to change them to your preference.

Ideapad Z560 neither accessing BIOS setup or is starting normally

Your bios seems corrupted. You will probably need to reflash from a thumb drive which is bootable. The F2 should get you to booting screen to access the thumb drive to boot from to flash the bios.

I bought a lenovo ideapad z560 for my sister in march and she tells me that several keys in the keyboard stop working. Is that a software problem? or a hardware? what can be done?

Welcome to Fixya

It could be software problem. Try to restore the computer back to the factory state. Turn off the computer then press the small button located beside the power button then follow to on-screen instruction to restore it from initial state. By doing this, we will now clear any software issue in the computer since it will be restored from the date it was purchased. If same thing will happen after restoreation then you need to send in the computer to depot repair depatment for keyboard replacement. I believe the computer is still under warranty. You may call 18774536686 then press option 2 for hardware support/repair.
