Buttons not responding.

Did you replace the batteries? That is always the first thing to try. Do you have a smartphone with a front facing selfie camera?

Aim the remote at the phone camera and press the On button on the remote. Do you see a red flash? Now press other buttons, do you see red flashes for channel Up/Down, Volume Up/Down and numbers? Report back by clicking Comment under MY Answer..

Press and hold down the power button and volume UP button (some phones use power button volume Down button) at the same time; Afterwards, release the buttons after an Android icon appears on the screen; Use the volume buttons to choose "wipe data/factory reset" and press the power button to confirm.It could also mean that the screen and the parts that allow the screen to respond and work whenever you touch it could be broken and the entire screen needs to be replaced.

Hi @Rock Aduh , are we talking about the password to go in to the phone? If it is, please perform a factory reset.

1. Ensure the device is powered off.
Note If the device doesn't respond to input, press and hold the Volume Up/Down button then press and hold the Power button. When the device screen goes blank, release the Power button while continuing to hold the Volume Up/Down button then proceed with step 3.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up/Down buttons then press the Power button.
Note When presented with the Boot Mode Selection Menu, release all buttons.
3. Press the Volume Down button to tap Recovery then press the Volume Up button.
4. From the DROID triage screen:
a. Press and hold the Volume Down button.
b. Press and release the Volume Up button.
c. Release the Volume Down button.
5. Select wipe data or Factory Reset.
Note Utilize the volume keys to highlight and the Power button to select.
7. Select Yes -- delete all user data.
Note Data wipe may take several moments.
8. Select reboot system now.
Note To set up the device after the reset has completed, refer to Initial Activation and Set up.

didn`t specified if volume adjust buttons still working or other buttons still working or not at all...by the way,if the other buttons still working,it means if you use the remote control,all buttons will respond.if all the buttons does not working,definitely the system i.c./jungle i.c. or what we call micro computer is defective.definitely it is starting to power button am i right?aside from power button,still it has a push button switch

you will have to perform a hard reset and here is how you do it
Performing a factory reset using phone buttons If you cannot turn on your phone or access the phone settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using buttons on the phone.
With your phone powered off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons. While holding the volume buttons, press the END/POWER button briefly and then release it. When you see a warning message on screen, release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

You can restore the phone to factory default but it will erase all your data.

I purchased a LAZBOY universal remote (at Fred Meyers, on sale for $9.99) and after a bunch of research and trial-&-error, was able
program it with a code (1629) which works reasonably well with the
Bose 3-2-1.

I don't have all the system-level functions (which I never utilized anyway) but do have all the basics as far as power, volume, source, and CD/DVD control.
