Hotpoint FDW60 flashing eco light

On starting on any setting after about 10 seconds the machine goes to the eco setting with a flashing light and proceeds no further ie to begin any wash cycle although the drain pump is still running

If the eco light is flashing, this indicates that saftey float switch has activated in the base of the dishwasher usually caused by a leak, a polystyrene float activates a microswitch which cuts of the water inlet supply

I have the same problem in my Dishlex - 150. I can't seem to find a switch or anything. My problem says it is an 'incorrect fill time' problem. The drain keeps running even when it starts a new cycle. Any suggestions before i call the repair man?

When I select start on my FDW60 the pump starts running but no water is coming in to the machine. After about 10 seconds the eco light starts to flash. Meanwhile the pump continues to run but no water...

first make sure you have water going in , then if you d have water the next thing the water valve needs to be located , it will have a hose going into it and a hose coming out of it and two wires on it , when the dial is set to fill with water you should have 120 voilts on the two wires , if you hve th epoawer then the water valve is not workingthis is a easy fix and cheep aso same valve is used on washers , get back to me after you have done some more research

When I switch on my dishwasher setting it at normal wash cycle it appears to start as normal then after few seconds goes onto to Eco 45 c wash - the light flashes but nothing happens i.e. no water comes...

you may want to check and clear the pump
you have something slowing your drain
but for giggles make sure your float valve is free to go up and down like it should
all dishwashers attempt to drain first
so you have a conflict between the float position and the pump sensor

Dishwasher error codes please help

I too had this problen today. Printed off a manual from the Hotpoint website. Very helpful troubleshoot section. Anyway, flashing eco and fast lights and beeping sound indicates 'water feed pipe blocked' You need to check the water inlet connections on your tap. However, when we pulled it out we noticed the blue water inlet pipe was slightly kinked. Straightened this out and hey presto! It works fine again. How this happens when its worked ok for 18 months will never know but still. Try it! hope this was helpful...shewoo
