Need some parts also what size pan is it. I think its a 8oz,
Star 59 is an 8oz popper, they stopped making them in 1992. Parts are becoming very expensive, usually better to dispose of the machine.
I have some used parts available, depending on which ones you want, or you could try partstown.com for Star parts.

SOURCE: Salton Popcorn popper Model# PCST22Y
I owned one of these and it worked for 2 whole months.
It's a popcorn machine, how hard could it be? Make sure the stirring bar it tight on it's shaft, make sure the plastic bolt is tight. Add about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and 1/4 to 1/3 cup popcorn kernels. Turn the machine on. Turn the machine off when the popcorn stops popping, or you might scorch the popcorn.
SOURCE: Where can I find an instruction manual for this popcorn popper?
Go to http://www.nostalgiaelectrics.com/ and click on their customer support link. At the bottom of their customer support page there is a box to enter the model number of your popcorn popper to get a manual.
SOURCE: I need to know how much oil & popcorn you use
About 4 oz of oil and 16 to 20 oz of corn. It depends on how much you want to make.
