How do i unlock my neff hob? Red key above on/off switch wont go off! Cant use hob.

Red light on and range is locked, press but will not unlock.

Hi, if you take off the magnetic knob & let it flash a little longer, then switch off & on again it will work. Ours is doing the same. The book says it needs cleaning, as do the customer services people but I've cleaned & cleaned it & I assure you it's spotless. You don't have to wait 10 minutes though to start cooking, just 1 after switching off. It is very annoying though & I think we will be getting an engineer out to look at it.

safety lock is on. How can I release safety lock?

Try - set all hotplates to setting 2. Switch off jot plates one after another starting with front right in clockwise direction, touch main switch for at least 5 seconds & a signal will sound - this activates & de-activates the child lock - or so the instructions say...

To use the hob with the child lock on - it says to press the main switch for more than 4 seconds & that lets you use it.

hi gud day, more of ceramic hob is touch control,try to stay ur thumbmark wen the unlock circle to unlock if u hear the sound it means is unlock also in the other wat u want to operate,or clean the surface coz some oil is coz of not operate properly. tnx gerbee

gud day,the key symbol is the lock try to unlock the unit by touching the sensor,or check the manual how to unlock.

gud day,the ceramic hob is very sensitive to operate if u not read the manual.after u unlock the switch go to the control of the hob wat area u want to operate by touching the sensor then if u see the zero # touch again the area,positive side to increase the heat 1-9 the standard control heat.some model & brand have a different operational procedure,try to read the manual 1st or check the voltage of the unit coz the ceramic have a 4voltage standard for different country. tnx gerbee

I have a Neff T4344N0/08. I cannot stop all four hobs flashing - ie: I press the 'on' button all four flash, I then choose which one I want to use plus the number but they all keep flashing instead of stopping after the usual three or four. Please help - have I pressed something I shouldn't, perhaps a child lock?

gud day,not all models of ceramic hob have a child lock,check it 1st ur unit if have it,if we have,touch the circle w/sign of key to lock the ceramic for ur child,to unlock touch again.u see the ligth red is on it means the lock is in ON.easy to unlock even ur child by touching the key sign,for ur safety to not use ur unit,unplug the unit if it not use.

its normal for the ceramic hob to ON & OFF coz of the sensor inside the unit to protect for overheating.same here in phillipines.its normal.tnx gerbee
