When taking a picture outside the picture is white. It happens even more when it's sunny. Doesn't seem to be as bad inside.
Pictures are also slightly blured.
It was working fine and the next picture that was taken a few moments later was all white
Don't know your specific camera, but it sounds like you have it set on manual (does it have P, A, S, M settings?) with a long shutter speed. This would let in a lot of light outside, and make all of your pictures blurry. Change your setting to P (program) or Auto (automatic) and see if that helps.

Not sure what type or model of camera you have. But most camera's have a Mode dial. The best thing to do is to turn that dial to the little green camera logo. That is the automatic mode. If you have chosen the moon and star, you only can make pictures in bad light situations.
This seems to be a software problem with your camera. Your camera should, if on AUTO mode, automatically expose your photo accurately. Try half pressing the shutter button (used to take pictures) while outside to adjust focus and exposure, then press the button fully to take picture. If your camera cannot adjust to take a properly exposed picture (not bright white), then it is possible that the shutter speed is stuck on a too high speed, outside daytime shutter speed should be fast (1/1000 sec). Or if your shutter speed adjust accurately, it could be the aperture if the aperture is not small enough for daylight shooting. This is likely a software problem. Try adjusting your settings manually and see if the picture turns out!
My camera has lost the audio and when i take pictures outside they are white, can not see any images .like if the lens is letting in too much light. indoor and night pictures come out ok. what can be the problem , this is a new camera. OLYMPUS FE-21o
the image is all white or has lines through it.Definitely sounds like a repair issue, and has been a previous problem with the camera in the past. There is a defect in the sensor of the camera, and happens quite frequently in this model. I would try and contact Canon about it, and see if they'll repair it for free. If not, its probably going to cost more than the camera is worth to repair it.
Switching off the camera from the main ON/OFF swit5ch should close the shutter. If it doesn;t, try removing the battery or the CF card. It is possible to manually increase the shutter speed even in bright sunny conditions.
it seems that the shutter of your camera is having a problem with. normally whin it gets stucked fully open it creats such problem. you need a help of a repairer.
