LG VX9900 enV Speaker Problems

I have been trying to repair the speaker problems with the LG9900 (no sound), I have re soldered a new speaker to the board with no change, I have also tried to just replace the whole LCD with no change as well... is it possible that it is the ribbon behind the LCD that has the issue? if so how can i remove the LCD to get to the ribbon to replace it? if that is not the issue either what could/would the problem be and how can I go about it to fix the problem?

Hi,this speaker ribbon can be fixed by any qualified mobile phone technician around you,but please don't try doing it yourself because this particular phone in question is a very delicate phone that requires extra care

Sounds like a connection problem. Something is probably lose on the circuit board. Did you damage it any known way?

No sound comes out of my LG ENV cellphone earpiece

This is a very-well known issue and defect. Documented by Verizon Wireless and by the manufacturer. There is supposedly a workaround, which is a simple as pressing the speaker key right next to the "CLR" key, however I have tried it on several phones to no avail. Recommend warranty replacement.

LG envy problems

I'm pretty sure it isn't any result of the "Get It Now" message you received. My EnV did this same thing, so I returned it and got another one. Shortly after, this one did the exact same thing. At this point, they had to have a new one mailed to me.. and guess what? This one MAILED to me broken. I was activating it over the phone, so I had a phone to my ear, and dialed the activation number on speaker phone with my new EnV... not realizing at this point that speaker was the only mode that worked for me! However, a half an hour later when a phone call came in, I couldn't hear anything going on. I thought I just had bad luck with EnV's.. but maybe they just aren't as great as everyone thinks? But, yeah. For this, they often just give you the new phones free because it's a manufacturing problem. You'll have to take it in.

Env issue

Sorry, i have been out and you may not need my help any more but here goes.

When you take apart the envy, the speaker will come out and should go back in no problem. If something comes lose like a wire and needs soldering, its tough on those small parts. you will need a small soder gun, a computer tech store might have one small enough. Also get small soder. There alot of heat involved and soder smoke can be toxic if enhaled alot. try in a wel vented garage or outside. Take the phone apart and do it carefully. Make sure not to melt anything else while sodering.

You get better with experience and i would practice soldering a couple of small wires together for practice first so you get the feel for how soder moves when it turns liquid.

I havent had to soder on a cell phone bwefore. If it has some kind of ribbon instead of a wire, then it may not be possible and you may cause more damage trying.

Its cheaper to have the tech insurance,it has a $50 deductable, just copy all your numbers and files onto the Micro SD, then drop in water, take to verizon and bingo, new one for $50 bucks

Good luck

About phone lg enV

you'll have to bring it to an outlet. that's a broken speaker or earpiece. I brought my phone back today, for a different reason, and the girl in front of me had the same problem and they fixed it.
though, you phone must still be under warranty, 1 year unless extended..
