SSID is a wireless network to connect your game console, (and other devices) to the internet. They are case sensitive and can be up to 32 characters long. SSIDs are usually broadcasted so your device can display available networks. Not all SSID are broadcasted, in that case you have to know the exact name to find it. Commonly it will be password protected using a form of WPA (WiFi protected access).

Where do I find my SSID#

The SSID is the identifier for the wireless access point (AP) you are trying to connect to. If the AP is broadcasting, the SSID should appear in a list of available WiFi connections when you enable WiFi in proximity to the AP. The SSID is not necessarily a number, it can be ASCII text, such as "MyAP1234" or "Linksys". You click on the displayed SSID you want to connect to and if it is encrypted, you will be asked to put in the password or access code. Some AP/routers have the SSID and access codes printed on a label on the bottom of the router. Otherwise you have to get them from the provider of the WiFi access. Some AP's don't broadcast their SSID's and you have to get both items from the WiFi provider and use your phone's connect process to enter the SSID and access code.

Where do i look on my pc to find the SSID?

The SSID is the name of a wireless access point such as a Personal Wireless Router(PWR). Your wireless device should list all within range. In this particular situation you are likely to need a PWR to have an SSID. Both of your computers will need to connect to it.

Error code 51032

  • Login to your router's settings (click here and select your router, if available, for information).
  • Look for the section for SSID (typically in the "wireless settings" area).
  • After you find the SSID (network name), verify in the manual settings of the Wii console that the SSID appears exactly as listed in the consumer's router. This includes making sure capitalization, spaces, or special characters match exactly.

Can't find SSID code for Dir-615

SSID is just the name. You can name it anything. It does not matter. This is the name wireless devices will see as the network name.

This is a test web page. It's non-functional, so explore.

What is a ssid code for printer setup

The SSID is the name given to a wireless network when a network is created. You can choose to broadcast or not broadcast the SSID of the network. If you hidden the SSID, then your wireless network will not be "visible" to other computers looking to join the wireless network, meaning that computers will only be able to join your network if they know the SSID beforehand. The SSID would be found on the router. This is for a printer that has wireless printing capabilities. On your computer click on the wireless network indicator in the status bar and you can see the SSID of the router the system is currently connected to.

What is an ssid please?

An SSID is the public name of a wireless network. All of the wireless devices on a WLAN must employ the same SSID in order to communicate with each other.
This SSID is established when the router is installed. If you do not know the SSID, you must reset the router and redefine the network and a new SSID.
