Actually, the Hoover barefloor cleaners does a much better job on tile, wood, stone or vynal flooring.

I dont know if you are in the U.S or U.K If you are in the U.K there is a model called the Hometek Light n Easy. Its suitable for hard floor cleaning but poor on carpets. Generally most steam cleaners with carpet attachments dont do very much unless you consider premium machines such as Polti

My grey & purple steam mop is getting very little steam at the head. is there a way to clean it without damaging the product? or is there another solution for low steam?

Mixing white vinegar with water about a cup of vinegar and a cup of water ratio and let it steam through the mop. This is also good for steam irons and other appliances such as coffee/tea makers. The acetic acid in the vinegar will dissolve the calcium build up that blocks the steam ports and will not hurt plastic or floors. If you object to the vinegar smell, then mix a little lemon juice with the last cup of water and this rids you of the vinegar smell. I use the white vinegar to mop the wooden floors in the house.

Steam Tek mop doesnt steam anymore

We had a similar experience. I opened the head to look if the steam line was clogged. There was no sign of dirt or calcium build up, so I opened up the body. Found that one of the heater wires had come loose. The connector, which is crimped to the wire, was charred. Could be a potential fire hazard!

I notice that a similar product marketed under the Thane brand has been recalled for wiring issues.

We will try to return this mop for a refund.
