50" Plasma turns off and back on without picture; audio stays on

a 10 yr old plasma tv that's never had the power supply replaced b4 , that's a long time 4 a plasma to work on same pwr supply !! me id have a tech ck it out to be 100% sure , hope u still can source parts 4 it !! 10 yrs in electronics is like wooden wheels are to rocket ships !!

Sounds like main board fault. Audio processor section circuit at it is not detecting the audio signal. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Hi, When this happens, it means that the power supply has shut down for safety reasons, to avoid, a fire, an explosion, or both. You MUST get your set attended to by a professional. You need to contact Mitsubishi, and ask for a "Quote" for repair. I have included a link to a generic "Training and service manual" just so you can see how complicated and the special equipment required to service.

Its either the XYZ circuits, power supply, or bad ESR conditions starting to develop. Have your local shop repair it for you....

The set is 4 years old, and usually problems in Plasma tv's develop before then......

The screen is defect,unrepairable.
You can try the contact Mitsubishi if the set is not too old for coulance.

hi luigi what u are getting this lines because probably u arent supporting the best picture for your tv...set a 1080p on ur screen in order to avoid those lines they would go away once u have Hd on ur tv

you need to buy a new lamp and replace the old one thats your only problem its about $200 for the lamp

IT is the Y Sustainer board blowing fuses. IT has 2 fuses. I have worked on severl of this model and the Y Sustainer board goes bad and blows the fuses.
