Panel will not light up.new battery did not help

On C846 version 1 units, set the on/off switch in the "on" position. It will be necessary to start pedaling for the bicycle to "power up".

For any other units, we recommend checking for any loose, crimped, or visually bad wires.

Make sure the speed sensor on your bike is working.
You can run a quick test by using a magnet to swipe in front of the sensor to see if it is sending signal to your console.

C846 hard to pedal

follow this instruction. God bless you
1
Detach the ends of the pedals from the crank axles. Spread a layer of machine grease over the crank axles, then reattach the ends of the pedals.

2

Remove the bolts connecting the pedals to the swing arms. Detach the pedals from the arms, then spread a layer of machine grease over the axles on the swing arms. On some models, the bolts may also serve as the axles. Reattach the pedals to the arms.

3

Remove the bolts connecting the swing arms to the elliptical's upright. Detach the swing arms from the upright, then spread a layer of machine grease over the axles on the upright. Reattach the arms to the upright.

Power supply for Precor C846?

There are several different versions of the Precor C846. Please locate your make and model number at the link above to view the parts list for your machine. Here is an AC adaptor that supports several of the C846's, and here is one that supports some other C846 models. Again, please verify the exact model number of your machine before buying any parts, because sometimes similar machines use different parts and you want to make sure you have the correct one.

Precor C846 Recumbent Bike - heart monitor not working

You can test the HR grips to see if the wiring is good all the way from the contact grips to the upper board by doing a test with your meter. Get a meter that can test fuses and beeps if the fuse is good.
disconnect the 4 pin brown connector at the console board, on one side will be some metal contacts.
Touch one end of the meter lead to one wire and the other to the HR contact plate on the handlebar. try all the contact plates on the handle bar until it beeps, then move the lead to the next wire and repeat until all contact plates beep. It all of them beep then your wiring is ok and the problem is in the Heart Rate board in the console or the connection point on the board.
Let me know how it turns out.
