Picture just went out on my tv but I still have sound

Purchased 11/2006. Guessing about 15000-20000 hours.

I have the same problem with my HP PL4260N 42" Plasma HDTV serial # CNH6141988, model # CPTOH-0602. I have perfect sound and can change channels still with sound but NO PICTURE. I am a consumer with a question that need the advise of an expert.

Suddenly...no picture, but slight light glare out of right bottom. Intermittent sound. Purchased new 4/1/07. Went down 3/23/11. 4 hours of use per day.

Most probably the live of the TV has finished.

You know this is pretty damn strange everyone is having this problem with this Plasma TV right around the same time... When I purchased mine it stated that it had 20,000 hours of life to it... Also, I purchased the extended warranty plan for and the company that supplied the warranty went out of business so now, I have a bad TV and was screwed out of more money buying the extended warranty
VIZIO SUCKS!!!!!!

The left side of the screen got very dark after the tv had been on for a couple of hours two nights ago. The next day it was fine. Today the same thing happened. I turned the tv off for a couple of hours...

Sounds like the inverter for the panel for the left side is defective.
