The deck height adjustment knob; there is an E clip that goes through the knob and that locks it on to the shaft. These are spring steel and have the nickname of "ahh crud" clips (when you push it out (it slides in place) it will probably shoot out the side opposite of the way you push it: "ahh crud" can be substituted). Once you slide the clip out (save it because you reuse it) the knob will slide up off the shaft. Putting in on is just: put the knob on, slide the E clip back in place.
if you mean it only shoots air when you pull trigger and not a nail , disconect from air supply and open side of nail mag. (two screws on side) look for forign object in front towards head end , sometimes the paper that nails are wrapped in gets stuck in there , also there is a small spring metal clip at front of mag is this broken off and is unusually short ?
To take off the rear wheel, you are going to need to remove the rubber boot. You can pull it off with a set of pliers. Then see what is holding the wheel on, it could be an E-clip or an external snap ring. To remove the E-clip use a straight screwdriver under the clip and rotate it to loosen. Then pull off the washer(s). The wheel will slide straight off, watch for the key, that is the metal piece that goes into the groove that locks the wheel and axle together for rotation. The external snap ring requires a snap ring pliers.
There are two ways dependent upon the gun model. Pull the charging handle back and insert the nail clip with the forward facing, leading edge POINT in first. Some guns allow you to put the nail clip(RACK) in the gun then pull back on the charging handle. BOOM your ready to shoot.
Ok the only thing that keeps it from riding over the top of the nail is your quick release on the front of the tool. I bet when you go to latch the front that it is not very tight. you need to replace the whole door. This should take care of you problem. # 900759 front plate assemblyhttp://www.paslode.com/cleaning-procedures.html
You should find little clips holding them in place. Take a screwdriver and find where the hoop (clip) has a notch in it and put pressure against it...it should pop out (wear eye safety gear). Once clip is off....tire will pull off www.nnyparts.com
I worked at at tool rental center while attending college and learned from the old tool masters about nails and nailers. Rental stores have many different brands of nailers to rent and customers would bring their own nails of all brands. You will notice on the case/box that your nails will /should work on many other brands however the degree or angle of the nails is not always exacly as stated on the box. You should check with protractor the exact angle of your nails and also check the exact angle of the nailer. Use straight edge on travel path of the piston and another on guide rails to check angle of the gun. You will discover that all is not as stated as in a perfect world. If the angle is off slightly, the head of the second nail will get into the path of the driver. This happens mostly with clip head because the nail heads are so close together. The full round head is spaced further apart with less jamming. If angle is off slightly, take a look at other brands of nails with protractor in hand, the angle will be different slightly or choose a slightly thicker nail. Look for the nails to fit with bottom of nail hitting the barrel first. This will move the head of the nail slightly away from the center line. Finally do not release pusher with force as this will jamb nails closer together. Good Luck!?
Could be a couple things, first are you using the right nails in the gun e.g. collation and degree. Second do the nails move freely in the magazine and how is the pusher spring on the nail does it have enough pressure. Then I would unplug from air remove all the nails andjust tap the nose on a piece of wood and does the driver drop? If so the piston Oring is worn and needs replaced, but if you do that I would recommend replacing all the rubber. Let me know and I would need the exact model number to come up with parts.
Does the nail magazine have a slot that the nail heads are supposed to sit in?
