Collapsing the avalon playpen

Please contact the company that you purchased it from, and ask for a refund, as soon as you can...these can collapse on your child, or like mine, get stuck in it. Just from me to you, get a better playpen...look up the injuries that happen with these types. Better safe than sorry, hope it works out for you...Michelle~

It's a struggle!
Pull up on the handle in the centre of the floor till it is as high as it can go.
On each of the sides there is a plastic piece in the middle. If you feel around them you can find a little button sticking out (it's on the side facing out of the playpen). Push that little button and push down on the middle of the top bar and it should collapse. There are 4 sides to the playpen - and 4 little buttons.

with the bottom still collapsed, straighten the sides, then they will stay. the bottom has to be the last part of the assembly.hope this helps ;)

pull up the sides while the center is still up. If you flatten the center of the playpen first, the sides will not engage.

ihave a Avalon on the move series playpen model AP11 and i can not get it to close for traveling

pull up the bottom in the middle first then collapse sides the sides opposite eachother at the same time ex. head n foot or left n right side

If you take the mattress pad out and collapse the base, you can then lock the sides. I was in the same boat as you. Very frustrating. Hope this helps.

I have had this problem with one of my daughter’s playpens. What I did was take the mattress out then pull the bottom part up. After that I pushed the buttons underneath the top rails and pulled up on those as well. For some odd reason this playpen WILL NOT collapse until you pull the bottom up. Hope this helps.
