I know combination, but cannot open sentry safe 1250, please help.
need important paper inside the safe.
If you know the combination:
1) Turn the dial to the left a few complete rounds, then stop on 1st number.
2) Turning the dial to the right, pass up the 2nd number once, then stop on it on the next round.
3) Turn the dial to the left directly to the 3rd number then stop.
The handle should open now.
mine is the digital one
A. Start the dial at zero. B. Turn the dial to the left. Make sure ZERO passes the pointer at least THREE times. Then stop at the first number of your combination. C. Turn the dial to the right. Stop the SECOND time you reach the second number of your combination. D. Turn the dial to the left. Stop the FIRST time the pointer reaches the third number of your combination.

Make sure you are working the dial properly for this type of safe. With the door lever fully counter clockwise, turn the dial clockwise a couple turns to start. It should turn quietly. Then turn the dial counterclockwise (LEFT) to the first number in the combination. Now turn the dial clockwise (RIGHT) a full turn passing the first number again, and additionally clockwise to the second number. Then turn the dial counter clockwise from the second number directly to the third number. Try to open with a sharp movement of the door lever clockwise. If this does not work the first time try adding or subtracting ONE to each number in the combination in case the mechanism is worn. If it still does not work it is time for a drill and a power saw to cut the thing open!
