The unit has been damaged beyond repair, one long shot, remove power and the back cover, get a tooth brush and rubbing alcohol, clean main board and remove all white spots caused by the residual of water left behind allow several minutes for the alcohol to evaporate and try to power up.

A couple of months ago I dropped my Nintendo d.s in water. Recently when i tried to charge it the light turns on but when i try to turn on the system it won't work. How can I fix it?

Open the battery panel, remove the stylus, as well as any other removable covers you can. Blow dry the device for about 30 minutes focusing on any external holes which may vent hot air internally. Finally fill a bowl with dry white rice and submerge the DS in the bowl overnight. If you haven't burned it out by trying to use it or corroded it in the time since it fell. This will draw all the water out.

Hello,

The mainboard of the DS will really cost you much. I suggest that you just get yourself a new DS lite instead of having it repaired. Trust me, doing this will save you from having head aches...

DS lite won't recognise any games

Put in the last game that worked. Turn it on/off. Then remove game. Sometimes they get locked up and need that last working game to get it working again.

My sons ds just tuns off - the battery is showing green and is ok

Yep three years is a long time, your battery is probably dead. You should buy another one and you should be good to go.

Nintendo ds lite barcode sticker came off

Hey rozlin14,

If you purchased your Nintendo DS from your local Best Buy™ store and have a Best Buy Product Replacement Plan (PRP) on the item, I would strongly suggest contacting us directly for further assistance.

You can always reach our toll-free PRP claim hotline by calling (888)-539-6883, and we'd be glad to further assist you.

Please keep in mind though that you will need a copy of your store receipt or PRP brochure booklet when you make the call, as agents will need to confirm some information with you regarding your purchase.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
