Hey Jeff! Some Oriental rugs should not be cleaned with water. You may want to contact the manufacturer of the Oriental rugs regarding their care instructions.

Very little suction leaves rug wet.

Check tank and tubes for clogs. Make sure your belt and brush are working. Also make sure you are not overfilling your tank.

We are sorry about the issues you've run into.

If your machine continues to not spray, please take it to a BISSELL Authorized Service Center for warranty repairs. If you are experiencing difficulties other than no spray, the technician will let you know the cost for those repairs if your machine is outside of the one year warranty timeframe. You can locate a BISSELL Authorized Service Center at this link: http://www.bissell.com/service-centers/?zip=Enter%20your%20zip%20code&distance=50&icid=ccrr

One pointer that can help between uses is running water through the lines. First, put clean water in both tanks and set your unit to the heavy traffic setting for one pass. This will flush out any cleaning formula in the lines so your spray tips won't get build-up between uses, which can lead to a lack of dispensing the cleaning formula.

Will not spray

The heater is probally clogged. Remove the upper housing and locate a rectagular shaped object in the middle of machine. Remove six bottom screws and clean with stiff brush, clear all lines then run 3 tanks of hot water trhought he system to clear it.

Bissell 2X Proheat 9200 - uses lots of cleaner.

May be that the cap and valves on the bottom of the tank is not shutting like it should and letting too much to come out. You may have to replace them.
