I have a Pentax Spotmatic F Camera. When I depress the rewind pin, it does not remain depressed. I must hold the pin in and rewind the film.

There is a rewind clutch pin at the bottom base plate. The pin must be pushed in, in order to rewind exposed film. When I push the pin in, it does not remain pushed in, but reverts back to its original position. I must hold the pin in with my right thumb and rewind the film with my left hand. Thank you. Tony

Tony your camera is now over 30 years old. THe fact that this is all that is wrong with it is a blessing. But why are you still shooting film? There is nothing you can do on film that can not be achieved on digital.

SOURCE: Pentax ME SuperProgram shutter button doesn't release shutter

It is possible that the mirror is stuck in th "up" position. You should be able to fire the shutter as you say on the 125x setting with no batteries. You can download the manual from the link below: http://mcfaddenphoto.com/camera_manuals/pdf/ME_Super.pdf Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

SOURCE: location of rewind pin for nikon n6006 film camera

There is a safety switch to prevent accidental operation.  Hold the camera like you are taking a photo.  Rotate the camera down so the lense is pointing towards the floor and you are now looking at the bottom of the camera.  On the right is a small button.  In the middle is a slide switch with an arrow pointing to the left.  You need to hold in the button on the right while sliding the switch to the left.

SOURCE: clutch position sensor on dodge 2500

Jim, I have the same problem. Looking in my Chilton's manual doesn't help much. But, if you look at the firewall from the driver's seat, where the clutch master cylinder rod goes through the firewall, you will see a plastic cylinder around the rod. There should be a wire that goes from that plastic cylinder and connects into a wiring harness. The manual says that if you separate the clutch position sensor wire from the wiring harness, and jumper the two contacts at that connection in the wiring harness, you will bypass the clutch position sensor switch. I have not yet done this but it is the recommended method of debugging starting problems. If you continue to have problems, I can email to you the section of the Chilton's manual for evaluating the starting system. At least I think I can get my computer to copy this section of the manual. The manual does not give the location of the clutch position sensor but that is the only location i can find that meets the description. I have a 1999 Ram 3500 4WD diesel quad cab.

SOURCE: Clutch push rod will not depress to engage

go to this http://www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-rt1-19701971_model8356/partslist/A-09.html and then click on "view big image", this will give you a diagram of the clutch etc,, the adjustment (No. 26) may need looking at, or (No.11,12,) have broken.Basically you turn 26 in (clockwise) untill you feel light resistance then back off 1/2 turn (been years since i worked on one of these!) this should give you freeplay, have you just got the bike?, and do you think it has been stripped lately(ie the clutch). PS I am not affiliated with the web site i offered above, just a handy reference for you maybe? cheers

Asahi Pentax Spotmatic SP jammed shutter

Have the film come to the end of the roll and the camera will not fire, if so rewind the film. Sorry, a shutter is not a self service item. This should be sent in for a CLA.

Asahi Pentax Spotmatic SP The film rewind button is fully depressed and won't pop out, and the shutter button isn't working.

if the camera is jammed for any reason, then the rewind button will not pop out. on this model it was common that the mirror cock lever at the bottom jumped. in which case the camera will jam up.

remove three screws holding the bottom cover, remove cover. in the middle of the camera is a lever that needs to be latched by pushing it forward. the camera should release and revert to normal usage.

if this is not the case then there may be something jammed in the winding or shutter gears. in which case you would have to remove the top cover and/or front covers.

Rewind button on bottom of camera is stuck in a depressed state and will not release. This causes me to be unable to rewind or load film, shutter button will not cause shutter to click, film advance crank...

Sounds like your camera could use a cleaning and oiling, I'd suggest sending it off to Gus Lazzari for repair. He does good reliable work to film cameras. Hope this helps.

How do I open the back of a honerwell pentax-spotmatic camera to load film

Try lifting up the film rewind knob and pull the back cover. Maybe the back cover is stuck with the old gummy light shield.

The nob that rewinds the film fell off my camera, and i unfortunately could not find it. Is there anyway to get the film out of the camera before I get a replacement piece?

yes, after dark find the darkest room or closet you can find, make sure no light is coming in around the door. pull up on the rewind shaft to open the back door. remove the film and rewind it into the canister by hand. turning to the right.

How can I rewind film in a Pentax Zoom 60-X camera

I used to use point and shoot film cameras. My guess is that there is a button underneath which when you depress will automatically rewind the film. Sometimes the button is very small that you may need a ballpen point to press it. Hope this helps cuz i have no idea what the Pentax Zoom looks like. I am guess it is a point an shoot type and not an SLR. If it is a point and shoot type, you must be sure the battery has power or else it won't rewind.

Honywell Pentax Spotmatic

Dear Spotomatic
Most film processing stores will take the film into a darkroom and get it out that way, also most camera supply stores sell light tight bags that you could take the film out of the camera without exposing the fim to light. Make sure you do not open the camera back even in a dark room.

Flashing HI

there is a flexible ribbon cable carrying signals from camera body to the lense assembly. Due to regular use it gets worn out, thus it gets broken and is not able to perform the task for which the camera has given the signal. in your camera also the same flex cable is broken. Get it changed at some good repairer
