Every part of my page that I click on has this pop up error. I have run the virus scan on my computer and there isn't any found threats or viruses. How can I fix this problem? Uninstall Adobe Flash player. It's being used as an "add-on" by facebook because you allowed it to at some point in time and it's conflicting with something else causing an error and shutting down IE. If you need the flash player installed on your computer then go to adobe.com and install the new version, but DO NOT allow facebook to install the "add on" for Adobe when requested or you will have to uninstall Adobe Flash again. I know it's annoying to have the script pop up on every facebook page requesting it, but it's better than not being able to gain access to the site.

I went to the internet explorer site and saw that there was explorer 8 and upgraded to that. I then cleared my cookies and now facebook is working again. Thank you Prem. I had previously tried installing firefox and it didn't work. So glad to have found your answer.

I have been trying to get on facebook but everytime I try an error message from Internet Explorer pops up saying "cannot display webpage" Please help

Open Internet Explorer, click on tools then internet options. In the first tab, under browsing history select delete... have check marks in everything except Form data, Passwords, and InPrivate Filtering data. Now click delete. Depending on how full you histroy is, this can take a bit to complete. Once completed, close IE and try to log back into facebook. If this still does not work, search for facebook on google, and try again. If the search option works, delete you current shortcut to facebook and re-add from the open page.

I hope this helps
