You need to reset the immobilizer and alarm. You may need an auto-locksmith or auto electrician. First though, make sure the battery is fully charged and has at least 12.4 volts.
Go to the cobra site, trouble shooting. Never have put an alarm in. But have tore out hundreds of them. Anytime I get a No start or problems like yours. I look under the dash for after market alarms and remote starts. I would tell you up front, That system has to go. 99.5% of the time, when I take them out and fix the wiring. The cars starts and has no problems. The best alarm systems last 5 to 7 years. Cheap ones, your lucky to get a year out of them. Like I said, when I see them, they have to go before I do anything else.
Hi, It is more than likely the interior sensor, it is in the roof panel if it is an MB factory alarm, or on the dash if not! you need to get it tested, if you can cover it with tape and set your alarm to see if it goes off,
hope this helps
what does it do? does it turn over will not fire? not turn over or turn over and die right away? need some more info before i can give more detailed advice, the remote start shouldnt hold it up unless its a alarm/starter with the starter disable active.
Yes there is a micro switch in the handle that lets the factory alarm know what position the lock is in. You can unplug the alarm control unit and do away with system. I would if it was my car. I believe it is located in the passanger side under dash panal.
