I just install a samsung BP96-00674A color wheel. Everthing reconnected, when turned on I get flashing lamp and tv keep rebooting, on and off. HELP !!!!!

Change the tv Ballast board too.This board only job are to help it to ignite the tv projection lamp. This tv also have a colors wheel design into it too.If tv have colors pictures flashes or Black& White flashes within it pictures or tv have grinding noises or humming sounds,than the tv colors wheel it is warp and dead.This tv colors wheel must be replaced,because the colors dis wheel is warn out.

Color Wheel is Located Behind Lamp ,Pull Lamp out and with a Flash Light Look inside you should see Color Wheel. Color wheel spins 9,000 rpms per second

Tv also have a colors wheel.Now u turn the tv on,u hear squiling,motor or whinning noises?Yes,the colors wheel is dead,replaced the colors wheel.The tv will,work agian.

possible color wheel , or just a lamp. depending on what the noise sounded like. check out some videos on you tube on how to replace color wheel. Not to hard

Sounds like the color wheel may have also gone bad. I recently saw a 56" Samsung where the bulb and color wheel went at the same time. The color wheel could produce a crying noise while trying to spin up.

Regarding the tv turning, my question is, do you hear a clicking sound? if so, it's most probable tio be your ballast, that might not have enough voltage to keep on with your lamp, and that's why it shuts off.
You could try replacing it and seeing if it resolves your issue, I believe they're running around 70 dlls..
