First of all you have to identify the blue screen error code. Blue screen errors normally occurs due to infected windows files. You need to scan PC to remove malwares, junk and virus. Also update the drivers that control your PC.
To fix this problem instantly use system optimization tool like Reginout.
hello if your screen goes black and you press down this combination keys together window +Alt + delete and still it did'nt restart itself so you can use it then check your monitor cable that enters the back of your system. If the problem persist then you will have to reload your system operating system put in the window Xp or Vista CD and follow the command giving to you then if you are sure that the monitor is not the problem may be it has completely get fault that will need for another monitor if you need more assistance pls get to us ok
Hi,
This problem occures when ther is an conflict with drivers, so try to updat your Bios from dell web site orm you may try to update the video driver or have an option to replace it and try Try to boot the system safemode and chk if you get the same BSOD if not then its the video drivers
My first plan of attack would check Second the event log in the BIOS, looking for a heat event. Make sure your
fans are spinning, while you are in there get a can of compressed air
and blow out any and all dust. Sometime it becomes necessary to remove
the processor and put a little Artic 5 between the cpu and the heat
sync.I would check out the video card, the easiest thing to try first is to remove and update the video drivers. I still lean towards the heat event Idea... Hope this give you a headstart in the correct direction. Good luck, PS, if you are the one shutting it down and rebooting, look to the Video Card,
If that is not it reistall and to not loose you files click you partion durring the install and do not format it and click enter then click on leave partion alone
This is going to be one of two things. 1- An operating system error or hard drive failure resulting in operating system error. 2- A component failure or bad/loose connection that is shorting the system and causing the system to think there is an operating system error resulting in a blue screen. First, try to do a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. If the repair doesn't take, then reformat the hard drive and install a new operating system. If you have any issues during or after the format and install, then the hard drive has failed and will need replaced. If the repair, fresh install, or new hard drive (if you get this far and opt to purchase one) are successful and you get a blue screen to the effect of "detected a problem and had to shutdown, check newly installed hardware" then most likely you have a loose connection inside the machine. You will need to take the machine apart and check all connections. If the connections are good, then you have a failed device somewhere in the machine, and will need to take it in for diagnostics. I know that the latter sounds difficult and rather scary, but I believe that you're going to find this to be a simple operating system glitch or failed hard drive. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, and let me know how the repair turns out.
