Hi, After using the Scooba for about 10 times, it stopped putting down watter. Seems like iRobot do not have any kind of support/warranty for the device. Waited for 17 minutes on the line, than hangup wrote an email. took them 4 days to get back with the answer - no support). Any idea how to fix such a pump ? Thanks
I calledthe company and they told me to forcefully flush warm water repeatedly through the valve that is just above the brush release button the the mechanical part of the scooba. It may take 20 or 30 flushes (I used a turkey baster, iRobot suggested a children's nasal syringe) and "Scooby" is running great.
This probably has something to do with your solution valve (located by 'eject brush' button). When my scooba stopped pumping out water I used the bulb syringe that came with my unit, place the opening over the solution valve 5-10 times and squeezed the bulb very hard. This probably forced out some debris that might have been stuck inside not allowing the water to flow from the tank and now my units works fine.
Check and make sure the vaccume port is properly installed. I also went on their website, and they do have a faq about this. I have included the link to the site for your convenience: http://homesupport.irobot.com/cgi-bin/irobot_homesupport.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2&p_created=1153319315&p_sid=DCawHwJi&p_accessibility=&p_redirect=&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MTEmcF9wcm9kcz0zMSwzMyZwX2NhdHM9JnBfcHY9Mi4zMyZwX2N2PSZwX3NlYXJjaF90eXBlPWFuc3dlcnMuc2VhcmNoX2ZubCZwX3BhZ2U9MSZwX3NlYXJjaF90ZXh0PXdhdGVy&p_li=&p_topview=1

SCOOPA RUNS A FEW MINUTES BUT DOES NOT PUT DOWN WATER AND THAN IT STOPS ASKING FOR SERVICE
my scooba works but does not put water on the floor. it just picks up dust and when I check the dirty water tank, its empth and the filter has dust in it. I cleaned the filter and checked the tanks. The clean water tank was still full and the dirty water tank was empty.
The scuba ran for a long time and did not prompt about detecting a problem.
Runs a few minutes. No water out put down. Stops with check tank light on. Tried using link offered in 2007 comment, but site states "answer no longer available". Tried cleaning, refilling, reassembly. No change.
Worked for me! Just used the bulb that it came with and squeezed water into the solution valve. Works Great.
Unfortunately the link to the site says: the answer is no longer available.
