New world 90TCgyro fan oven timer

It sounds like the oven timer is set and it is waiting for you to set the start time. I tried to find a manual, I found one, but not sure if it is right. I am in Canada and this is a UK brand, so this link might work better for you.

No it sounds like the relay on the clock is faulty

Faulty element is likely cause or could be a dud thermostat.

timer doesnt turn anything off,timer is for convenience only

I have just done this repair, so in case it is useful for anyone looking. Once you have got the guard plate off from inside the oven that covers the fan and the element (four screws), there are three screws holding the element in place. One can be undone from inside the oven, the other two you need to take the back of the oven off (six screws, quite easy to get back on). This allows you to get at these screws, undo the electrical connections, and take out the old element.

It was slightly fiddly to get the new element in, but best to secure it in place with the screw from inside the oven, then screw in the two at the back, before reconnecting the electrical connectors.

Try turning off the circuit for a minute, then set timer again.
Often a little picture/icon of a "baking tray with heat" when timer is passing power on to the thermostat.
Also, those timers fail often enough, is the oven brand new (or recent blackout)?

oven timer seems to be stuck - oven only comes on for about min. and then cuts out to 'pinging'
how do we reset the timer to 000 ?

assume a fan oven.does fan turn and oven light come on? if so problem is the circular element. if no fan and no oven light, then clock probably needs setting - this will be in instruction book. clocks sometimes go wrong but not often. if clock is faulty, a cheap repair is to bypass the clock so auto function no longer works

I dont know if you've solved th eproblem of getting the gyrooven working but if you press down the button that looks like a pot cooking and press the + button to whatever timer you want the oven will then work. Mine does anyway!
