Epson cx3800 paper feed problem

Epson CX3800 series printer/scanner will no longer feed paper. Has always been picky (requires at least 24 lb. paper). Now it won't pick up and feed paper at all. I'm assuming this is a hardware problem.

Thanks for any help.

Epson Stylus CX3800 won't print, just prints blank pages?

the fact that U havent used it alot is the problem the printheads are clogged with dried ink, you need to do a printhead cleaning (or Several) There should be an INK button on the printer press that and scroll through the options till you find cleaning or maintenance and do a nozzle check after each cleaning to see if U are making progress. If there is no INK button then look for maintenance in the printer properties

Windows 7 (64-bit), does not accept the printer & scaner of epson stylus cx3700 why ?

The printer install disk probably does not support the Windows 7 64-bit operating system, perhaps not even the Win7 32-bit os. Go to the following link; http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=58604&prodoid=58654752&infoType=Downloads&platform=Windows

This link is for the Epson Stylus CX3800; there was no listing for the CX3700

Download the 64-bit driver and double-click it to install

Epson CX3800 printer prints poorly a lot

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Epson stylus CX3800 series

First thing I would recommend is download the driver from Epson so you know you have the latest version for your operating system. Second thing is to make sure you have the Windows 98 service pack installed that has USB support. The first version of Win 98 had NO USB support (if my failing memory serves me right)

Install the service pack and reboot a couple of times making sure you have removed any previous installations of your printer and it's associated files. Leave the printer off and no USB cable attached to the PC

Start the installation of the Epson driver with the printer OFF and no USB cable connected. When you get to the point that the install wizard tells you to ensure your printer is connected and powered on - connect the USB and switch on the printer.

If it still can't find the machine, complete the driver install with the option that you can specify the port at a later time. When done, right click the printer from the control panel/printers area and select Properties. Under Ports select USB01 or similar and apply the setting. Now under the General tab, try and print a test page. It may fail to do so. If it fails, reboot and try again.

This should see you on your way.

No Paper jam

It is possible that your machine has either a foreign object stuck in the feed path or that the paper sensor has got stuck or broken. The best way to tell if something has entered the mechanism is to tip it on it back and give it a gentle shake or nudge. Then continue to turn it over (front to back) so that if anything was dislodged it should fall out of the back. If nothing falls out, it may be neccessary to partly dismantle the machine and physicaly check the state of the feed mechanism to see if there is something stuck, or if the sensor is broken. If you need a service manual to be able to dismantle the printer check out. www.TheServiceManualShop.com if they do not have it listed, they should be able to get it for you and they are very good value for money.

Epson headache!!!!!!!!

This normally occurs when it cannot see a printer. Assuming you have installed the epson drivers, go to your printer and other hardware or printers and faxes folder and right click on it to check that it is on line and set as the default printer. If all fails disconnect printer from notebook, uninstall the current driver. restart and re install driver and re connect printer when prompted or when installation finishes.
