We are having problems changing the main greeting for our office line. All our direct lines are easy enough to change. But the main office line, when it gets to the answer phone bit, lists employees that no longer work here!!!!!! Please help, i'm at my wits end!! many many thanks!
Unfortunately, Office systems are all controlled by a central system that requires an administrator to make changes such as recording the system answer menu, creating menu systems, etc. This is usually done by the I.T. department or private contractor. Sounds like maybe you have a gap in personnel. If that's the case, you'll need to call Nortel for support. Thanks for using Fixya!
the admin mailbox is 0 with a default password of 1234 or 123456. Once your into the admin mailbox press 9 for admin programming. 3 for greetings, 1 for the auto attendant #.press 1 for the day menu or press 2 for night menu and 6 to modify the menu. press *# to skip selector codes.Press 1 to record your new greeting 1 to stop recording. Press *# to approve or 21 to re-record hang up when finished.
