    Hi guys!

    Sorry I haven´t replyed earlier,just forgot.

Here is how to Make your Pioneer DV-310 regionfree.

Use this link and go there.

    http://www.pioneerfaq.info/index.php?que...

Search for file YJA8703A almost in the bottom under DV-310.

Download and burn on CD with nero, make sure the CD is being closed after burning.

The just mount the CD in your DVD player and press play.

    #1. Press upgrade.

    #2. Wait,don´t touch anything now.

#3. The tray will open after about 5-10 sec, take out CD.

#4. Player will uppgrade under about 1-2 minut, then the tray will close by it self, and the player says "CLEAR".

#5. And now here is the secret. When player says "CLEAR" ,push and HOLD the "enter button on THE PLAYER until it turns off(about 5 sec).

And there you go,standing infront of your brand new Multi regional Pioneer DV-310.

At least this worked great for me.

    Good Luck!

I tried this - the cd needs to be labelled PIONEER for it to accept the upgrade disc..

Still, at the point where the dvd player finishes upgrading and says "clear" no amount of holding down the ENTER button does anything at all - it always goes to "Loading' and trying to look for a disc. It doesnt turn off "after 5 seconds" - and it never becomes region free.

There is still something wrong with these instructions. Is it really the enter button (in the center of the round buttons on the right of the players front)? Or is it a different "enter" button?

Very Important !! To enable MultiRegion hold ENTER button on REMOTE for about 10 seconds, after upgrading Firmware and Rebooting. The player will turn-off. After you turn it on in will be Region-free :D

1. Do you mount on CD or DVD?
2. How do you press 'Upgrade'. My controller doesn't have anything like that and there isn't a button on the player

Pioneer region free code DV-340, DV-343, DV-444, DV-545

Introduction
The Px4x DVD Upgrade is an advanced modification to your DVD player, which adds extra features and enables you to get more from your machine. The upgrade supplements the DVD player and in no way harms the playback quality or removes any performance features of the DVD player.

Main Features
The DVD Upgrade adds the following features to your DVD player:
 Multiregion capability
 Macrovision disable

Players Supported
The following DVD players are supported by this version of the DVD Upgrade:

 Pioneer DV-340, Pioneer DV-343
 Pioneer DV-444
 Pioneer DV-545

Modification Details
Multiregion selection
Nearly all DVD discs on the market today are encoded with a specific "region" in mind and are made in such a way that a disc designed for "region 1" will not play on a player designed for "region 2". This is so that the Hollywood studios can control the release of titles in different geographical regions all over the world. Our upgrade allows you to select between regions 1 to 6.
Macrovision & CGMS disable
All DVD players have a system called Macrovision built in to the player, which is designed to stop the copying of DVD discs to video. However, this system can have adverse affects on some projectors. For this reason the DVD Upgrade disables Macrovision to solve any problems.

Operating Instructions
You can select the region code by remote. This region will be tried first when playing a disk.
Due to this design, the modification will work on the RCE (Regional Code Enhancement) protected DVD’s. In some cases it will be necessary to insert a conventional (non RCE protected) disc before playing a RCE protected disc. Follow the instructions as detailed bellow:

1. Turn the player on without a disc in it
2. On the remote control, press 'SETUP'
3. Use right arrow to select 'General'
4. Use down arrow to select 'Basic'
5. Press 'ENTER' on the remote control
6. Press 'Display' on the remote control
You should see the region code and OSD version that the player is set to
7. Press 'Condition/Memory'
8. Press '1', '2', '3', '4', '5' or '6' to change the region code of the player
The text will disappear
9. Press ' Display ' on the remote to control the region
10. Press 'SETUP' on the remote to exit. Play the disc
This dident work for me but mayby work for you.

We used a usb on the DVD and now we can't watch normal DVDs on it. We insert the DVD and the player just rejects it and opens the draw.

How can I make a Pioneer DV-420V-K DVD Player Region Free?

Its generally not worth the bother, you would need to re-flash the programming and the data parameters. The Original Hard Coded ROM has to get un soldered, then replaced with a re-flashable memory. The Hardware is subject to static and any spark can destroy the driver board. It would be cheaper to load the DVDs on a Laptop that is configured for Region 0, and leave it for that purpose.

I have a pioneer dvd, model DV-380, how can i make it region free

Questions need only be posted once

If you mean to play DVD’s that you may have purchased in another country the see below

For that you need to do a Google for "mymodel region free" or "region free hack"

Not all DVD players are capable of this often very simple modification that many manufacturers build into DVD player. (Usually just involves the remote control and a combination of keys)

Your search will turn up a lot of sharks that want money for the hack (fix)

IGNORE THEM

There are a lot of sites where the information is free.

If after opening up the region free parameter you still have issues and you still want to play your dvd's from around the world you might want to consider another one

I am STILL (lauren) unsure of FIXYA's policy on this topic and am awaiting further clarification on the issue with regards to handing out these codes as this is not HACKING in the same sense as pirate software etc. it is just enabling an extra feature that the manufacturer provided.
I would prefer not to get my @ss kicked. That is why I can only give you the search terms rather than site links or specific information

Pioneer DV 310 K region free

Step 1) Download the pioneer firmware here http://www.pioneerfaq.info/index.php?question=Firmwares

The site says the firmware only works on region 2 players. For this model it worked for my region 4 player in Australia

Step 2) Burn this file to a CD-ROM with name PIONEER as per these instructions - http://www.pioneerfaq.info/english/burn_guide.php

Step 3) Load the CD and your DVD player with ask you to flash the firmware. It says press play to start but instead HOLD DOWN ENTER during the entire process. DO NOT switch off your DVD during this time. When the tray opens take the CD ROM out but keep the DVD on. The flashing can take up two to three minutes. During this time HOLD DOWN ENTER ON THE REMOTE. The entire time!

Step 4) The DVD player will reboot. The tray should be empty. It will then load the tray back into the player. If the signal is disorted switch on and off.

Your done! Should work.

The most complex way of region freeing a DVD I have ever endured! :)
